Against Miik! 07-18-2006 09:50 PM

The Format. The new album is excellent. Also Modest Mouse. Previous to a few days ago, I had only heard there latest album. But I downloaded This Is A Long Drive for Someone With Nothing To Think About, and the Moon and Antarica...both on recomendations, and I love both of them.

Aphex Twin - I Care Because You Do

This stupid album finally arrived in the mail (I ordered it 21 days ago). Hopefully it's worth the wait. It sounds terrific so far...

Little Man being Erased 07-18-2006 11:43 PM

Yeah, Lamb are the goods. "Gorecki" is especially awesome.

br3ad_man 07-19-2006 01:24 AM

Yeah. I remember Tapey got me into Lamb like two years ago. Good times.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 07-19-2006 05:14 AM

some of the most delightfully ****ing pretentious **** i've ever heard

Minus The Flair 07-19-2006 05:49 AM

Pedro The Lion - Control

Amazing that I only recently started listening to this album and realizing how amazing it is

ATM 07-19-2006 06:31 AM

Minus the Bear - discography

A buddy of mine told me these guys arent that great, but im glad I finally checked them out for myself. Good summer music.

Also, that Girl Talk album is so tits, its practically the cover of Jugs magazine. My music nerd side really comes out when I play it and pick out all the different parts.

It's definitely worth the wait. It's kind of hard to get into but it still kicks ***.

The Violent Femmes - s/t

I always forgot how good this album really is.

ATM 07-19-2006 06:39 AM

Yea, that's one of the few Aphex Twin albums I have and I really like it.

sketchyjoe 07-19-2006 07:10 AM

Elvis Costello - My Aim is True
The Replacements - Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash
Sado-Nation - We're Not Equal

Inspired by the 75-84 albums thread.

JonM 07-19-2006 08:37 AM

I just imported my second Trojan box set, and I want to get more. They are wonderful. There's no better way to dig deeper into Jamaican music. I have Dub Rarities and Ganja Reggae, and I'm thinking about getting Rocksteady next.

Anxious 07-19-2006 08:43 AM

Early Pink Floyd, Piper at the Gates of Dawn and Saucerful of Secrets

Trippy stuff.

JonM 07-19-2006 08:47 AM

Dude I just watched the Live At Pompeii DVD last night, and it was the coolest thing I've ever seen. It's post-Syd, but it's pre-Dark Side. Check it out.

Anxious 07-19-2006 09:06 AM

I'll see if I can torrent it, sounds good.

ATM 07-19-2006 09:47 AM

Yea Live at Pompeii is cool.

I grabbed a copy of Jorge Ben - Africa Brasil after all the talk about it, and its solid as hell.

Robert Crumb 07-19-2006 05:19 PM
