Theres nothing very special about gravity, very bland. But it's just my opinion.
|
I think it's a good tune... Nice vocals and atmosphereic music.

I have to agree. It's one of my least favourite on 13th Step, it's just nothing special to me. The Noose is the best. |
Gravity is very atmospheric, though. I like that song a lot...Although, I do agree The Noose is the best song.

I was into APC before I started listening to Tool. Thirteenth Step is still one of my favorite albums ever. A really interesting progression from Mer De Nomes, which was really beautiful and gothic sounding. The first six tracks on that album are perfect, but in the latter half the album just kind of puttered out, with some good moments here and there. Thirteenth Step to me is just amazing throughout.
Oh and I've started a featured movie series in the Media Center. Check it out? http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10941152 /ends shameful advertising. |
The Outsider > The Noose

No, Colonel Sanders, you're wrong.
Momma's right. |
13th step is amazing to sleep.
Very soothing and calming. |

Blue is my favorite on 13th step.

That's a good one as well. I pretty much like the whole album minus "Crimes." |

I used to think there was some hidden meaning for the track. But then I just thought "Screw it, it's not enjoyable anyway." |
Thirteenth Step is great, but the middle of it isn't very inspiring. The Package is ownageness.

OK....
so, is there some kind of secret code or something to the Schism DVD? I bought it just because its tool. But I was dissapointed because I thought it would have something more than just the video. Please tell me I have to click enter three times at 10 second intervals after blah blah or something like that or...or....well, I'll just stay disappointed. And what ever happened to the live dvd? |

There were whisperings of a live DVD from Tool soon, and these crappy DVD's just didn't make sense.. I guess I figured that they hid the live DVD on one of them. |
the package = best song on 13th step
I don't know the guy personally, but I met his friend in the R&M room on soulseek. We started talking, and he was ranting about them, so I wanted to get an album from them. I was pretty shocked when I heard it, the album is REALLY good. And, they're coming to Vegas sometime next year. I'll definitely be there, it's too bad there's some shity bands on the tour they're on.
The only thing I don't like about them is the songs aren't that memorable. However they do have ALOTTTTTTTT of potential to make some really good songs. I love the riffs. Also can you give me the track list for Kezia? I can't get the album info on my computer. |
hmmm...I happen to like "Pet" the most on 13th Step.
|
hmmm...I happen to like "Pet" the most on 13th Step.
Amen. I love that song. Gravity and the Package are good as well. And on another note, the tool dvds are a waste of money. Yeah, they;re cheap, but not worth the money. The videos are awesome, as are the menus, but the remixes and commentaries are trash. The commentaries have almost nothing to do with the videos and are mostly rantings and irrelevent remarks. i expected them to be thoughtful insight on the meaning of the videos. Guess not. |
Eh the Parabola DVD is easily worth the money, that's the best music video I've ever seen.
"The Noose" by APC is possibly the most beautiful song ever written. |
Yeah, the Parabola DVD is nice, worth every penny....even though i wish Tool would stop putting out DVD releases and proceed with another Album.
My favorite APC song on 13th step is "Pet" |
While on the subject of APC....my favorite song off of Thirteenth Step would be Gravity, unlike it seems many people here.
|
I think the commentary on the Parabola DVD is great. Me and my friend laughed.
|
I'll have to agree with Diego, I am a huge fan of Gravity. One of my favs off of 13th Step.
|
While on the subject of APC....my favorite song off of Thirteenth Step would be Gravity, unlike it seems many people here.
It's my favorite after Pet, which is just so damn good |
Eh, the dvds are alright. The videos are the most amazing videos i've ever seen. The commentaries were funny, but too random. and the remixes...i didnt have the patience to listen to them in their entirety.
|
the parabola dvd commentary is a ****in trip
|
I listened to one by taking the jack out of my DVD player. It made a hell of a lot more sense.
|
I'm definately buying the parabola dvd if I get the chance
edit: http://www.dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=703460 hehehehe.. look at the genre |
