Isn't that only like 2 years old? I have a geforce 7xxx I think it's only 128 mb card and I got it like 2 years ago...

The Geforce numbers and the Radeon numbers have nothing to do with each other. The 9700 came out during the reign of the GeForce 4 I believe (the 4xxx's).

Wikipedia says the 9800s were first released in early 2003, making them even older then I thought (granted there were different versions of the 9800, but the article also said they all came out during 2003).

Yeah I know the numbers have nothing to do with it but the 128mb cards came out at generally the same time, maybe mine is a 256mb, oh well i dont play video games anymore so it doesn't matter :o

Yeah I think that started in like September of 2005 or something, I remember a Mike Portnoy video was one of the first uploads.

Yeah I built my computer over 2 years ago, its running the 6600 GT. When Spore comes out I is definitly upgrading to something in the 8xxx for sure.

Man that game looks badass, I saw a teaser with Robin Williams making a creature. Looks like it would be fun, what is the release date?

The 8800 GT OC is probably the best current card you can get for the money. It's insane.

Nice! That's what my brother has and he loves it.

Most likely what i'm going to get when i upgrade for college as well. Right now i'm on a 6600GT and i used to SLi two of them but i don't have the connector so it is pretty pointless.

:P I wasn't serious. I quite enjoy my HH Medium. I want to get another ride with extreme bell definition (probably a heavier ride) and then put the HH to the left of my hats. Double ride = \m/

I'm gonna be taking 2 relatively awesome computers to college. Overkillin' it but it's justified. My desktop which is dank as hell, has that graphics card, 2 GB RAM (Prolly will be 3/4 GB after a while), Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, 1.8 Ghz Duo Core, WiFi, etc.

My dad got me an HP Laptop for graduation/Birthday combo. Thats probably the most valuable thing he's ever gotten me xD I don't have it yet, I believe I will get it the day I graduate. This I will use mainly for school work/internet. The desktop will be more for heavier media, gaming, etc.

i hate my ride, its a flat top so i have no bell

so i use a 16 xs20 rock crash as an aux ride for the bell

suck it guys i have an ATI ALL IN WONDER thing so that i can watch tv on my compy

I was considering getting a laptop instead of a desktop but it doesn't make much sense because i'm not going to be taking it anywhere and it costs so much more for the same specs in a desktop.
