I dream entire movies in my sleep. It sucks, some of them seem pretty cool, so I wish I could remember them when I wake up.

EDIT BEFORE POSTING: I mean I dream original movies that my brain has produced, from opening scene to the ending credits even!

gmoneyguy 12-01-2007 06:31 PM

That Weird, I tend to dream in a mixture of first and third person, but for the most part I dream in first person.

Nostalgia 12-01-2007 06:34 PM

I dream in scenes. I can't remember the last time I had a coherent one that made any possible sense.

Riva 12-01-2007 06:34 PM

I dream in third person about 75% of the time.

Well, actually I suppose you could call it first person in that I'm the director, but I am not physically with the actors usually. Instead I'm viewing the movie clinically.

When I dream in first person, and I'm actively part of the dream sequence, it's usually a nightmare or something very awful. So I think my brain might have started doing the "movie" style dreaming to make it easier for me?

Also, I'd like to lucid dream one day.

gmoneyguy 12-01-2007 06:36 PM

Supposedly there are books that teach you how to lucid dream. I am always interacting in a dream, even if its 3rd person. I'll see myself in 3rd person.

Kage 12-01-2007 06:37 PM

Yeah, there are books.

Riva 12-01-2007 06:38 PM

Lucid dreaming makes sense to me because dreams are the result of your brain determining that you have the correct response to different situations. Being able to lucid dream is just the next stage in that process. I will give it a shot when I move back home.

EDIT: This chicken stir-fry is amazingly good.

masterchaos 12-01-2007 06:45 PM

Yeah, I always find it odd that the dream version of myself will realize "Wait a sec, Im dreaming". And I wake up.

gmoneyguy 12-01-2007 06:47 PM

I used to hate Stir-fry when I was a kid.

Riva 12-01-2007 06:48 PM

This is great. Carrot, broccoli, green and red capsicum, green beans, brown and spanish onions and snow peas with chicken in a thick sauce.

masterchaos 12-01-2007 06:49 PM

Pickled asparagus is amazing

Kage 12-01-2007 06:49 PM

That sounds fantastic.

gmoneyguy 12-01-2007 06:49 PM

Mmm, I haven't ate dinner yet. I dunno what I want.

Riva 12-01-2007 06:52 PM
That sounds fantastic.
It's divine. I'm going to grab some bread and mop up the rest of this sauce.
Mmm, I haven't ate dinner yet. I dunno what I want.
Well, this is an early lunch for me since I gotta clear out before the real estate agent arrives to set up the Open House starting at noon.

Crazy Aussie time. It reminded I haven't ate dinner yet. You selling your place?

Riva 12-01-2007 07:07 PM

Aunt and Uncle whom I am boarding with are, yes.

gmoneyguy 12-01-2007 07:10 PM

Oh ok. My parents are going to sell our house this summer, because my dad received a new assignment.

TojesDolan 12-01-2007 08:00 PM

I need to find a house nearerschool because it's making me sad inside lose all that precious time going from home to school and otherwise.

Deth 12-01-2007 08:04 PM

Commutes suck pretty hard.

pate 12-01-2007 08:04 PM

Next year I'll have a 15 minute one, and right now I have a 10 minute walk, so I'm pretty lucky.

Anglachel 12-01-2007 08:05 PM

60% of the time I don't dream
and like 3% or the dreams I do have are in third person. the others are in first

mmmm chicken stir fry

I walk 5 minutes to school

AA-12 12-01-2007 08:05 PM

Yeah i'm going to be driving about an hour each way, maybe more :(

The Door Mouse 12-01-2007 08:06 PM

I know some kids that go my school that have a 45 min commute. I'm just glad that I'm in the same town as my school.

Deth 12-01-2007 08:06 PM

Where are you going Josh?

pate 12-01-2007 08:07 PM

My girlfriend had to drive an hour each way everyday to teach this semester. Blah

AA-12 12-01-2007 08:07 PM

Deth 12-01-2007 08:33 PM

I saw a guy at the game today who had a homemade suit of armor and transformed into a train. It was the greatest thing I've ever seen.

pate 12-01-2007 08:38 PM

Greater than Alice Cooper talking about golf?

Deth 12-01-2007 08:41 PM

Yes, because the guy was transforming in order to haggle beer from people.

halfdeadhippo 12-01-2007 08:43 PM

Haggling beer from people is indeed a noble cause.

Deth 12-01-2007 08:44 PM

Especially when it involves transforming.

halfdeadhippo 12-01-2007 08:45 PM

Transforming is also a noble cause. Transforming + beer-haggling = ULTIMATE.

Deth 12-01-2007 08:50 PM
