Oh yea, I forgot about that Emo guy. Did we ever find out who that was?

BoboTheRagingHobo 07-20-2005 03:47 AM

Internet outage = teh suckage.

First time it has happened in awhile, so that is always some what good, I guess...

It used to happen every few days for like a day at a time, so can't really complain.

Drugstep 07-20-2005 03:54 AM

I wish I could have an internet outage. I'm posting on MX non-stop from 12:00 AM - 5:00 PM and not getting anything else accomplished. It's fucking me up.

Today/yesterday was relatively uneventful, but more eventful than most days. I posted on MX till noon, then went to a friend's house and chilled till 7:15 PM, then came back to my house and slept till 2:30 AM. I don't like that friend's mom.

I bought Mike Patton and The X-cutioners - General Patton vs The X-cutioners and Miles Davis - The Beginning Of The Cool. Both very cool.
Both great records. Isn't the packaging for General Patton.. awesome?

Hehe, that's why I chose it over Fantomas - Delerium Cordia.

Actually, I had a Tomohawk album, the Fantomas album and the X-ecutioners one, and I was fully intent on buying all three, along with Equilibrium XI and the Miles Davis one. My girlfriend, however, slowly took the 4 full-priced ones (the Miles Davis was on special) and told me I could pick just one. :(

Jom 07-20-2005 07:39 AM

Yeah, because it's so hard to look in your profile for threads you've started, isn't it, Madey.

EDIT: wait, your girlfriend buys records for you? Hmm. :ponders:

Well, there we go. My job is done. I have given them my two weeks' notice and am happy to be leaving them. Jesus Christ, what an ordeal.

And then of course I didn't get a phone call from my grandmother so she called the police, and sent them to my house to look for me. Thank God I came back home in time to meet the trooper there.

I served breakfast two days a week at the Simsbury Inn and sucked at it. Needless to say, it was not a job that I was too hot on keeping, as I wasn't even being paid good money to suck.

Alex: Yes, I am indeed pleased. They weren't mad or anything, but it was one hell of a morning, as the restaurant were swamped.

Cain : Nice avatar, the films are good, but Ludlums books are way better.

Im listening to that Autumn Leaves track now, its good but the drums are abit :\

Cain 07-20-2005 09:43 AM
Cain : Nice avatar, the films are good, but Ludlums books are way better.
I enjoy the films the same as the books. They're completely different stories, after all, and Matt Damon does a convincing job, especially in the first one. The Bourne Supremacy was not as good at all. It didn't tie up any of the cool, mysterious loose ends that TBI left.

RCA 07-20-2005 09:44 AM
What sounds did you do, or can you not remember?
We had to write down everyday noises, like rustling leaves, a car revving (sp?) it's engine, a loud crack of thunder, etc. The person/group that got the most words by the end of class got 50 extra credit points on their midterm exam.

Funny, I never really like Identitiy but thought that Supremacy was really good

Arucard 07-20-2005 09:47 AM

Have you read The Bourne Legacy by Eric Van Lustabader? It rules, he took over the job well. I also bought The Janson Directive by Ludlum at the same time as the new Harry Potter, and i am glad i did. The new Potter sucks.

Cain 07-20-2005 09:58 AM
Funny, I never really like Identitiy but thought that Supremacy was really good
It depends on what your mind is geared towards. I'm a huge fan of intrigue and mystery, and the Bourne Identity had more in common with "Gorky Park" and "Three Days of the Condor" than with, say, "The Sum of all Fears." "The Bourne Supremacy" was a superior action flick, but contained very little of the kind of awesome mystery and feeling of being involved with spies that Identity had for me.

Lucas: Two weeks notice is great, you feel like you own them. Don't slide though, in case they refuse you a reference.

If they give you a reference, they are obliged to make it good. Remember that.

Right. I doubt they'll give me a reference due to the small amount of time I worked there, but I plan on saying that I was employed by them on a resume.

Chris, what the hell is that in your avatar? It makes me fearful of going to bed.

Steerpike 07-20-2005 10:25 AM

How exactly does Dell stay in business? Their computers are worthless, unreliable pieces of scrap. I've spent nearly the last hour arguing with mine.

And the wireless modem has given me nothing but grief. It currently believes that I'm on a "Wireless Internet Connection 3" but my ocmputer doesn't recognize that as a valid connection and won't let me use the internet.

EDIT: This is being typed from my brother's system, by the way.
