-The Frank 04-01-2006 04:40 AM

-The Frank 04-01-2006 06:09 AM

Jev 04-01-2006 06:11 AM

That's awesome, thanks.

-The Frank 04-01-2006 06:15 AM

Josh 04-01-2006 06:18 AM

ah, i see. shame rapidshare hates me. i'll have to use a proxy thing i guess.

-The Frank 04-01-2006 06:21 AM

RapidShare is the only place that will upload my stuff :(

Rattlehead 04-01-2006 06:29 AM

what are maiden doing right now? in the studio? touring? i have all their albums and they're one of my all time favourite bands.
but what's the order of their albums?

-The Frank 04-01-2006 06:41 AM

IN studio

Albums:
iron maiden
killers
number of the beast
piece of mind
powerslave
live after death
somewhere in time
seventh son of a seventh son
no prayer for the dying
fear of the dark
a real live/dead one
the x factor
virtual 11
brave new world
rock in rio
dance of death
death on the road

Rattlehead 04-01-2006 06:44 AM

cool, so whats the news on the new album? or is that all you know?

and i have all the album with Bruce, except for FotD. apparently it's crap.

and i don't have death on the road. is it good?

-The Frank 04-01-2006 06:50 AM

DOTR and FOTD are both awesome, go buy buy buy. And apperntly the new album is going to be a concept album along with being a double album. They have already cut 10 tracks for it. Also, more acoustic stuff.

Josh 04-01-2006 06:55 AM

i don't think it's going to be a double album. 10 long tracks would probably only make it 80 minutes or so.
links to the studio reports, so you don't have to look back a few pages:

also, the "more acoustic" thing could refer to more Dream Of Mirrors-style tracks, Janick does the acoustic on that.

-The Frank 04-01-2006 07:08 AM

oo ok, and im not a fan club member :(

But i just remember them saying they might make a double album. Infact, in run to the hills they say that. But if they just cut only 10 tracks, then i guess not.

Josh 04-01-2006 07:14 AM

can you not even look at the forums if you're not a member?

-The Frank 04-01-2006 07:23 AM

yep, cant even look at the forums :(

Josh 04-01-2006 07:31 AM

that's fairly gay. i hadn't thought people wouldn't be able to look :(.
there's still only the 2 reports up though, i think they go out on mondays, so i'll put the 3rd on here when it's up.

-The Frank 04-01-2006 07:39 AM

Many thanks to thee!

I might sign up for the iron maiden fan club soon anyway.....

Josh 04-01-2006 07:40 AM

it's only £10 / year, and it lets you buy tickets early...

EDIT: wow, we're coming up on 17000 posts in this thread.

while remaining loyal to their iconic metal, i think they are good at acoustic. DoD was brilliant, my first album. and a concept album would be fantastic!:thumb:

Only in Europe though, which is gay.

Mr. Black 04-01-2006 10:06 AM

Off to see Maiden in Sheffield!

Anyone got any ideas for the setlist?

Josh 04-01-2006 10:09 AM

probably similar to the DOTR tour, replacing most of the DoD stuff, and 1 or 2 of the older songs, with new material, from the album that will hopefully be released in the next couple of months.

Mr. Black 04-01-2006 10:41 AM

yeh, any info on what thats gonna be called?

Josh 04-01-2006 10:45 AM

none yet.

Lord Abortion 04-01-2006 11:40 AM

I hope they change the set around a bit, keep hallowed, Iron Maiden(obviously) and Pashendale and play some unknown tracks, all this "classic songs" crap is starting to get to me.
Yeah, they want to get people into the band by more recognisable songs...but there is a limit.

good choices, but they should nevertheless keep the trooper and wicker bloke and stuff like that.

JamJar 04-01-2006 11:44 AM

I'd like The Trooper as well. It'd be very cool if they played Powerslave and Infinite Dreams.

Josh 04-01-2006 11:52 AM

they should play some of the "classics" that they don't normally play, people would obviously still recognise them.

Rattlehead 04-01-2006 12:03 PM

yeah, they have tonnes of "classics". and Powerslave was my first album, not DoD, btw. i love it.
