Giving TSOP a relisten; still sounds pretty good for the most part.
|
Yeah, it's good but the song structures get a bit tiresome imo.
|
its got some really cheesy parts, but for the most part its mad powerful.
|
Yeah, it's good but the song structures get a bit tiresome imo.
Yeah; Death have always been pretty formulaic songwriting wise (by no means a necessarily bad thing) but it's quite noticeable on TSOP, particularly the whole repeating-the-song-twice-feel (which much earlier Death does as well but the songs tend to be more succinct and less meandering).

another listen of The End Complete reveals that it's actually not complete crap. |
no idea how the end complete is one of the top-selling DM albums.
|
mallcore kiddies hopping on the bandwagon late!
no idea how the end complete is one of the top-selling DM albums.
Same reason Covenant is: lowest common denominator |
mallcore kiddies hopping on the bandwagon late!
****ing kiddies |
no idea how the end complete is one of the top-selling DM albums.
Well... 1) It was released at the height of death metal's popularity 2) They had toured with Sepultura who were just becoming massively popular |
Same reason Covenant is: lowest common denominator
Disagree strongly. If you'd said Domination then I would have been applauding. I think Covenant was a more challenging album than Altars for example. Now if you want a real engma in death metal how on earth did Steve Tucker go from having one of the most brutal voices around on Formulas to sounding like a weak David Vincent on Gateways? |
What do you mean by challenging?
|
By challenging he means homosexual.
|
What do you mean by challenging?
pretty sure he means 'harder to get into' |
yeah, harder to get into other men's buttholes
|
I don't really listen to much Morbid Angel outside of Altars, even Blessed sounds somewhat uninspired to me :\
|
only good songs on blessed are the old ones
|
thats because morbid angel is ****ing boring
|
Blessed are the Sick is an incredible album.
The title track has one of the most insane chorus. |
I don't really listen to much Morbid Angel outside of Altars, even Blessed sounds somewhat uninspired to me :\
Blessed and Covenant are both good, i hate that Covenant is looked at by most as completely worthless. sure, its no Altars but its not as bad as everyone thinks. |
thank you, your opinion is very important to us all.
