you still owe me a big avatar :)
wanna pay up? The bassist is possibly my favorite bassist of all time. And he and the drummer sound really good together. It works really well with Albini's production. |
How good is it in "Nub", right after the guitar intro, when the bass and drums come in and just start pounding. It sounds especially cool on good headphones.
it is the coolest. i figured out how to play it too (don't know if its 100% percent right but it sounds ok) G--------------------------- D--------------------------- A--------------------------- E---7-7-7h9p7-7-7-7-9-7-10 repeat endlessly, but move it up two frets for the chord change (during the spanish part). and during the last part of the solo occasionally hit the next highest B (9th fret D string) instead of just the 9s and 10s.
you still owe me a big avatar wanna pay up?
i thought you were someone new, not mote. being mote voided the verbal agreement :) |
I think I deserve a larger avatar...I had one once...it's gone forever now..
|
that avatar sucked
|
umm...so? I was digging them atm, so I kept it long after I stopped digging them...and I couldn't change it without going to a smaller avatar...eh what can ya do about it
|
i thought you were someone new, not mote. being mote voided the verbal agreement :)
I think I've been enough of a good boy that the agreement can be brought back up |
no, go away
|
shut your rabbit up.
|
Most of the times it seems that disc one is usually better then disc 2.
Except for the white album, those equally pwn. |
Most of the times it seems that disc one is usually better then disc 2.

ok all this jesus lizard talk is making me want more. can somebody put up some of their stuff other than Goat on album trading?? i really like that but i gotta get some more
today me and my friend smoked a bunch and listened to Hieroglyphics Third Eye Vision...that was fuckin sweet. ive also been listening to Nada Surf High/Low a lot today |
Loop - Heaven's End
People here would like this alot, I'm surpirsed you guys don't listen to them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loop_%28band%29
I agree, Loop is great. Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To Bardo Pond - Lapsed AlienEater, you were right. Lapsed rules. |
Silversun Pickups.
|
the next Jesus Lizard album to hear after Goat is definitely Liar. after that I don't know, someone tell me (nacho?!)
|
Head is much better than Down.
|
they're the same thing
|
This Moment in Black History - It Takes a Nation (of Assholes to Hold Us Back)
Wow... great album |
Chisel - Set You Free
There's a lot more tracks than your usual rock album, but all of them are surprisingly tight so there's really nothing to complain about. This is another reason why Ted Leo's one of the best songwriters around right now. HOPEFULLY Living With the Living won't disappoint |
The Microphones
Mount Eerie The Blow |
Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies
Yeah I still don't get why people don't like this. Ah well, it's nice to have it to myself I guess. |
I agree, Loop is great.
Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To Bardo Pond - Lapsed AlienEater, you were right. Lapsed rules.
it most certainly does |
Ciccone Youth - The Whitey Album

Listening to Tragedy. This is some decent crust punk type stuff.

The Goslings - Grandeur of Hair
"Each song is like a diamond dipped in mud and wrapped in barbed wire. Beautiful lilting shimmerop doused in crumbling crunchy downtuned guitar sludge and sheets of jagged feedback. A super blown out in-the-red dreamlike sludge, equal parts Boris drone, My Bloody Valentine blisssout, and shimmering crystalline pop. Like a Mazzy Star record dipped in hot tar and then wrapped in a hundred layers of feedingback guitars. So beuatifully heavy. The Goslings just might be the loveliest harsh noise-sludge pop band ever!" That's what the sticker on this record said, and that's why I bought it (limited special ed, to 600 copies :)). And holy f.u.c.k. It's absolutely incredible. Does anyone have any other Goslings stuff on soulseek? |
that sounds fucking awesome. to slsk!
|
My slsk doesn't work properly anymore :(
Been diggin': The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole Camera Obscura - Underachievers Please Try Harder |

On my first listen of Benoît Pioulard's Précis and it is really really good.

Could I get this off someone on soulseek? Edit: Nevermind, it's going out in the mailing list. |
That Gosslings album sounds choice, I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
