It's just that the first album was not that good as people make it out to be, and that happens A LOT in here. Still, will check a couple of songs from their latest two efforts and will get back to ya :)

Nah it's in like every song. But regardless both newer albums are amazing... oldest one not so much.

Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest is probably one of my favorite albums ever. Perfect atmosphere and vocals, and the guitars are mad busy.

Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest gets hyped here? I could've sworn everyone bar a few users acts like it's the worst **** ever.

At least that's how it is in punk. I definitely recall a quote along the lines of, "vocals are more contrived than Underoath," around the time the album came out.

honestly SILYAYD is an absolutely incredible album.
and I think you're confusing post-rock with just delay and atmosphere which can really be in anything =p

At least in R&M it does...I've seen the artwork tossed around a lot at least, and that makes anyone curious I guess.

Plus some of my friends love it, and I don't know why. Like I said before, it's not the type of music I listen to usually, specially not now that I'm rarely listening to anything with guitars, haha.
