Woodstock 01-31-2005 08:22 PM
Touche. I just relised that I have over 3000 rep. :-/
I have about 3800.

Badmoon was probably caught, he's grounded.

John Cipollina.

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 08:24 PM

My rep is only 1982...I think the only people to have ever repped me are in this very thread right now.

And it says on his profile that Badmoon posted at like 7:30 pm today. He's lurking somewhere.

edit- I was gonna guess that, not that I could actually tell who it was. Just because it's in your title.

Maybe he looked at his mirror and saw a police car??

Paranoia reminds me of that line.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 08:27 PM

We should have guessed by your user title or whatever it is.

Because of the post of yours above me, it reminded me of the song. Sheesh!

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 08:31 PM

What is everyone's favorite song from Wheels of Fire?

White Room
I can't get enough of that solo and all the wah used in the song

Well when I posted that I took it from that song.

I think Tomorrow Never Knows is a great song and was one of the first psycheldelic songs.

Agreed. It's nothing short of amazing.

Yea I agree.

I'm also a sucker for wah.

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 08:36 PM

I haven't listened to Wheels of Fire. Is it a compilation or a live album or whats the deal?

And I didn't have very much fun the other night getting baked. The guys I smoked up with were too hardcore for my liking. I like to smoke a bowl, then chill out for a few hours...they like to smoke about three bowls, wait half an hour, smoke another three, wait half an hour etc. Although I listened to Zeppelin for the first time while high (Early Days) and it totally tripped me out. Awesome stuff. I always appreciated them enough sober, they totally blew my mind that night.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 08:36 PM

I love White Room and Politician.

I want an avatar, but I don't know where to find a good one that I like.

I think it's Cream's last(non compilation)album and they added a live album to it to make it a double album

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 08:37 PM

Wheels of Fire is a double disc album. The first disc was the studio part, and the second disc is live.

On the weekend I listened to some Doors while baked. Good choice indeed.

Now everyone's making me want to get baked and listen to music

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 08:45 PM

That's the best part of smoking up. One of the only reasons I like weed more than booze is because listening to music while high makes it a hundred times better.

Wheels of Fire sounds like a good album. Are the live songs as amazing as I imagine they'd be?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 08:47 PM

What's so great about drugs, anyways? I've never done or smoked anything. I think I'd rather listen to music without being high.

Wheels of Fire=Great album. The live songs are amazing. My favorite is Spoonful, but I haven't gotten to Toad yet.

What was Goodbye? Was it another album or a compilation?

I don't think all drugs are great. I've only tried a couple, and I only smoke marijuana now. It just makes music more enjoyable to listen to, you can hear deeper into the music. I can't speak on behalf on all drugs, because I haven't tried very many, and I probably never will. If you don't think you need drugs...don't start, nothing bad has ever came out of not doing drugs (except prescription meds).

I haven't heard Goodbye...so I dunno what to tell you.

Live songs=ownage. Train Time is a little weak, but still good. Crossroads, Spoonful and Toad are amazing though.

lunch998 01-31-2005 09:02 PM

I think Goodbye was a live album, but I'm not sure.

would you guys consider lenny kravitz classic rock?? i think his style falls in that category.
would you guys consider lenny kravitz classic rock?? i think his style falls in that category.
No, if he is then I will stop liking classic rock.

ultimaterocker 01-31-2005 09:08 PM

whats wronmg with him????

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 09:11 PM

I've only heard a few Lenny Kravitz songs, so I haven't formed much of an opinion about him.

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 09:11 PM

I really can't stand Lenny Kravitz. He's basically just a stereotyped image of a rockstar, with no music capabilities whatsoever...except for coming out with a catchy unoriginal song every five years just to keep himself within a few steps of the spotlight. If he wants to be successful, he's gotta change something. He can't keep making the same album his whole life....it may have worked with AC/DC, but they had talent and substance to back it up.

Amen. He is just trying to milk the "classic rock image".

lunch998 01-31-2005 09:13 PM

Goodbye, the final Cream album, has three live tracks and three studio tracks.

Jam2Me 01-31-2005 09:16 PM

Anybody here have the Layla Sessions by Derek and the Dominos?
Or anyone listened to it?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 09:17 PM

Thanks, lunch.

And AC/DC also had one hell of a live show. Something I doubt Kravitz can say.

Yea I am too, but my parents visited London and loved it, so they might want to go back.

The "cheap" seats at the Hall for the Cream shows are 700$/pair.

I'd say a lot of early Lenny Kravitz is actually quality stuff. His guitar playing wasn't bad either. "Are You Gonna Go My Way" is an awesome song.
