yeah. my friends are all "yeah gay people are cool as long as they don't act gay infront of me" and they all assume that any gay male just wants to rape them, like just because someone is not straight, they are just savages and once they sense butt they will pounce on it.

Tolerance is a terrible concept. I really don't see how people can say they are "tolerant" of someone's homosexuality and claim to be any less hateful than a full-fledged homophobe. It's not as if these people are doing anything horribly wrong that needs to be tolerated in the first place. What we need is acceptance, not tolerance.
