Quoted from metal head 617

Well in that case we have our final lineup!

Bass - Metal_Head_617
Lead Guitars - R. Blythe
Drums - Sliptallica
Rhythm Guitars/ Vocals - Chu

Thor 05-28-2005 08:19 PM

Well I don't think that Chu is going to do guitars anymore, but I think that R.Blythe is going to do both rhythm and lead.

JonG 05-28-2005 08:55 PM

Out of the first four albums, what is everybodys favorite opener?

Hit The Lights, Fight Fire With Fire, Battery, Blackened?

I'm stuck between Battery and Fight Fire With Fire.

Those are five albums, buddy.

But out of those, I think that Battery comes out on top.

RiceMonster 05-28-2005 08:59 PM

Battery for me too.

Not neceserally a great song, but Hit the Lights had a real big impact on me back in the day. So I'd say that would be my favorite.

NoHero9 05-28-2005 09:03 PM

battery, fo sho. the moron put five. aha, ha.

JonG 05-28-2005 09:06 PM

I wrote four before I realized Enter Sandman didn't stand a chance.

FlyingPaul_83 05-28-2005 09:09 PM

Battery

Rothmans 05-28-2005 09:13 PM

Battery.

heavy metal kid 05-28-2005 09:45 PM

fight fire with fire is my favorite openner, is not as fast as battery but it sonds heavier.

NoHero9 05-28-2005 09:47 PM

alright, I apologize for that moron remark, but thats true, enter sandman can exit my life.

Joe 05-28-2005 10:32 PM

I've learned the intros to all of those openers, and haven't learned anything past it (except enter sandman. i can do everything but the solo (which i haven't tried))

Joe 05-28-2005 10:33 PM
Well can you still do vocals for us? R. Blythe can probably just do both guitars.
i can do rhythm. i don't completely know the S&D solo, but i know all of the rhythm parts

fatbandit 05-29-2005 08:53 AM

Bah, starting the internet Metallica band up again (not that it got started in the first place...)? And I see I've been ousted from bass? Boo sucks.

Well, if you want to do some and share some duties of it with me metal_head? Not necessarily share duties on one song, that's just silly.

If you're going to do it, I'd suggest have the drummer record at the same tempo as the CD. Sometimes the guitar or bass cue things in songs, not drums, so that could be a problem (such as the intro for Seek and Destroy). Also, one person needs to have all of the tracks, so that they can mix them. A big consideration is what program is being used to record all of the tracks.

Form your own Metallica cover band on here. I'm sure there are other people on here who want to do the same. We can have a contest to see who is better.

Sliptallica, when are you going to have those drums ready?

fatbandit 05-29-2005 09:21 AM

I would but I'm lazy. If anyone on here can do drums and guitar and the like, hit me up on MSN (dark____nation@hotmail.com with 4 underscores).

If I can't get people, do you fancy letting me slip into a song somewhere? I get very bored without stuff to do :thumb:

Thor 05-29-2005 09:26 AM

Record Pulling Teeth and post it if you can't get anyone else to record with you.

I would be able to do rhythm but I'm not really in a situation where I can record a lot.

Squirrel 05-29-2005 09:29 AM

dont get sheet music, just download power tab and save your money

fatbandit 05-29-2005 09:30 AM

Because that would be fun, eh? Its a bass solo, not a Metallica song. Not quite the same degree of accomplishment. And maybe I would if I had enough leads to hook my pedals up to my computer.

Is not being in a situation to record a lot 'not in a situation to record at all'?

No, its like once a month. But once we get into the summer I can probably do more.

Chu 05-29-2005 09:53 AM

What song do you plan on doing first?
I'd love to do vocals, but have never tried a Metallica song, I don't really have very good recording equiptment (Microphone + Computer :/) so it could be hard for me to get a recording.

That said, I'd still love to do Metallica vocals, I don't know what song/s though.
I think I'd like to do something from Kill 'em All, maybe Jump In The Fire.

Well we put you down for doing Seek and Destroy, so try and learn those.

RustedPieces 05-29-2005 09:58 AM

So Seek & Destroy is the song you guys are doing?

Chu 05-29-2005 10:08 AM
Well we put you down for doing Seek and Destroy, so try and learn those.
Ok, I will start now :)
When you do guys want a recording by? I don't really know how fast I could get a decent recording, but I'll start ASAP, the lyrics aren't very different, so I'll be able to get them down soon.

Thor 05-29-2005 10:16 AM

Well this is how we are going to do the recording:

1. Sliptallica records drums
2. Metal_Head_617 records bass
3. R. Blythe records guitars
4. Chu records vocals

Then you can put it all together and then we have our song.

RustedPieces 05-29-2005 10:18 AM

I hope it doesn't take a long time. I want to hear it.

guitarcreep13 05-29-2005 12:08 PM
dont get sheet music, just download power tab and save your money
those suck. They are always wrong. And I don't want to buy the sheet music to learn it. I already know how to play it. I want to do it as a 'collecting' thing, ya know?

flamesofbodom 05-29-2005 12:54 PM

Power Tabs are the most accurate tabs on the internet. Sheet music is wrong more than it should be.

Jev 05-29-2005 01:20 PM

Yes, they're the most accurate, but only the ones that are correct. You get people who rate it wrong because it doesn't match the tabbook, tabs that are off and there's not a full collection of albums or bands.

Sandtrap 05-29-2005 01:30 PM

flamesofbodom 05-29-2005 01:33 PM

Seek & Destroy
Creeping Death
Master Of Puppets
Blackened
Nothing Else Matters
Until It Sleeps
Fuel
No Leaf Clover
Frantic/St. Anger
