Nope. But I bet it's not good enough to turn me emo.
See, he doesn't hate everything.

I know you've heard Booker T., they made the famous Green Onions song. Have you ever seen The Sandlot?
I just downloaded it, and yeah, I've heard it before. It's pretty good.

Thin Lizzy did not kill Deep Purple.

Satch was definetly amazing live but the music I enjoyed the most was definetly Deep Purple. Thin Lizzy had a really bad sound system and didn't really sound good.

Anywho I took that test and there wasn't a band that I hated that I remember but there were bands I dont listen to much on there.
You've obviously never heard Hot Tuna.
They're were America's Rolling Stones

Pfft.

I acctually I have heard Aerosmith called America's Rolling Stones ............ probably because both Steven and Mick have huge lips

Johnny B. Good 01-31-2005 07:30 PM

Led Zep IV and L.A. Woman are getting the $hit kicked out of it in the polls

I can't say I'm too educated on them, I just know they rock pretty hard, but that seems like it's pushing it.

Woodstock 01-31-2005 07:33 PM

I voted for WYWH and DSOTM, guess I was in a Pink Floyd mood.

That's how they were advertised when they completely left Jefferson Airplane(the Hot Tuna band members came from Airplane)

I know they came from Airplane, well anyway that's an interesting ad
campaign.

I voted for DSOTM and II.

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 07:42 PM

I voted for DSOTM and II as well.

And it angers me when people try to compare Aerosmith with The Rolling Stones. The Stones were innovators of rock, Aerosmith just rode in on the wave of successful seventies bands like AC/DC and KISS. I am fans of both bands, but Aerosmith didn't really do anything to push the boundaries of rock, they just wrote some good songs. I always thought Jagger and Tyler looked similiar, although Tyler has aged much better.

Broken Arrow 01-31-2005 07:42 PM

I went Animals and I.

Surprise of the day- Badmoon voting for the Doors.

I never knew he liked them.

Joe 01-31-2005 07:43 PM

Yea i thought the doors had like one vote or something

He didn't age much better, they both have wrinkles as deep as canyons on their faces.

jpj 01-31-2005 07:45 PM

I like Tyler's voice better, actually I like Aerosmith better.

Just because I like Metallica and the certain albums that were put on those polls doesn't make me a fanboy. It's not like I make myself 10 usernames to vote for them all the time.

Yes I voted ...AJFA and RTL.
---...AJFA I wanted to go on, and the two I really wanted to go on were winning so I just voted ...AJFA
---RTL is my favorite album of all time

But yes, Led Zep IV should win the poll.

At least they didn't age in 4 years like John Paul Jones did.
one minute he looked like a healthy20 year old
next he looks a 50 year old trying to be hip

Did he specifically say "those Metallica fanboys, like gocaps99"? No, he didn't, but there are certainly Metallica fanboys on here.

Woodstock 01-31-2005 07:47 PM

JPJ aged the best of the 3, no doubt. Have you seen Robert Plant recently? It looks like an anvil fell on his face and flattened it.

What? JPJ looks fine, if you wanna see someone whose aged badly look at Plant or Page.

There are 5 main bands with fanboys here: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Tool, and Iron Maiden.

Jimmy does look pretty sad. I wouldn't even have recognized him on the cover of Guitar World magazine if he didn't have the double-neck and Les Paul.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 07:56 PM

No, it was the 25th Anniversary issue.

oh, because I was starting to wonder why I haven't seen it. Oh Well.

Hmmm

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 08:00 PM

Ya Jimmy Page isn't doing too well in the aging department. I wonder how well he can still play. I saw him play a few songs on TV from somewhere in the 90's, it wasn't too bad. Although he attempted the Heartbreaker solo and I have never heard it played that bad before...at least by him.

AND QUIT SPAMMING UP THE CLASSIC ROCK THREAD WITH YOUR METALLICA TALK!!! No one said you were a fanboy...I voted for Pink Floyd and I don't assume he was talking about me when he said fanboy. Just let it go.
