Crude insults ftl.
|
Shut up large bundle of stickss.
Also, to re-invigorate our differences, I still think Legion is horribly average.
There's no point discussing anything here. If you think Legion is average you're a lost cause. |
Nah confessed, remember he's totally elite and his views on death metal are what we should all be aiming for. I'm so glad he posts in this forum, now I can make a difference with my life.
If you think Legion is average you're a lost cause.
omg i dont like what you like, i must be a total n00b |
lol rasputin
The lbos insult got old after someone called me it once. Using gay/fag as an insult is what pre pubescents seem to enjoy doing these days, so I'll just leave them to it. |
Agreed. Doesn't hurt to stir them up every now and then though :D

I love how eliminator keeps negging me and his comment is simply '.'

lol because rep means everything to us

so what is with all these "death heads'" obsession with rap?
I guess I'm so elite that I haven't even heard enough hip hop to notice any "thuggin" in my death idk |

So back to a rarity on this forum perhaps? Some real discussion?
Name your favorite Immolation album. Why? For me my favorite is Close to a World Below, because it combines the technicality and ferocity that Immolation do so well making for an intense album. I find that as Immolation have progressed they have improved somewhat with every album although I can only speak as far as Close to a World below - I don't own Unholy Cult (yet) nor anything afterwards. Dawn of Possession although great I find a little tame compared with the mighty Close to a World Below, or Failures for Gods, (or Here in After!). I don't think they'd established their style fully there. How does newer material compare with the earlier material? |
Unholy Cult.
Powerful, hard hitting, brutal. Great solos, excellent production. First 3 songs are so good, the rest also rocks, but the first three songs. Concrete shattering death metal. |
Close to a World below is my favorite as well. To me it epitomizes what evil, crushing death metal is all about; the perfect mix of brutality, odd and dissonant riffing, great melody, some of the best death metal drumming ever, excellent lyrics and impeccable songwriting. It's moments like the middle section of 'Put My Hand in the Fire' that really make the album go from excellent to classic to me.
Their only album I'd say is somewhat generic is Dawn of Possession; each album after that has its own unmistakable flavor. I think Close to a World Below is their best, Harnessing Ruin is their worst and Failures For Gods is only a little bit behind Unholy Cult/Here In After/Shadows in the Light/Dawn of Possession (I hold each of these in equal esteem). The only reason I don't like FFG as much as those ones is because of the inexcusably awful production. The drums are really overproduced and the guitars are way too compressed. |
I like Cannibal Corpse coz they own. End of.

I'm enjoying Job For A Cowboy.
I love pig squeals although too many of them make me want to smash scene kids to smithereens. EDIT: Soz to be less than 31it3 |
I dont consider them death metal.
I love pig squeals
definition of scene kid tbh |
I know; they're deathcore (thrashing in my pram as we speak). They're influenced very heavily by lots of death metal bands; like Nile, Morbid Angel and Suffocation.
At the end of the day, JfaC have got it going for them. Good luck to them in my book. Hopefully they're next record will own and be better than Genesis. |
I think Genesis showed that they have a little potential but it repeats too many of the same ideas. I doubt they'll become great.
|
definition of scene kid tbh
you forgot faggoty, girlish jeans w/ haircut and no sense of identity rattlehead. |
JFAC is death metal not deathcore
|
The only difference between the two is hair styles and the type of breakdowns they use tbh
Not defending deathcore since it's 99% garbage, but it's kind of the truth. |
