We just had our winter concert.
It was okay, I guess.

So have you guys heard about Sony's XCP in their lastest music CDs?

It's not banned. Sony is still argueing it's case for it. Basically it opens a backdoor into your PC in which sony, and numerous hackers, can access you files to see if you're making mulitple copies of their CD. If you try to remove it, the Cd won't play.

Also when you install the software, the 3000 word EULA says that you agree that Sony will not be held responsible for any more than $5 for any problems you inccur as a result. Along iwht alot more amazing facts.

I heard about all this yesterday from a friend too. It seems like a waste of money, they will both compete to not let people burn cds and for people to burn cd's and in the end they both lose because they spend the money on it. But the company who is trying to stop it is losing.

I don't know about American ICT laws but I'm pretty sure this would breach the Data Protection Act in the UK

the Government can access your files if it deemed 'nessercary'. It's one of the exemptions, though I doubt they save that gem for instances of national security :lol:

Hi I'm Locke I'm 17 from the UK, Main Influances include Nicko McBrian, Mike Portnoy, Tommy Lee, Ron Weltley, Tre Cool, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and Chad Smith, fairly new to the forums been reading them for a long time but not ever really posted much, been drumming since year 5 which was 8 years ago (Christ it's been that long), Took a break from drumming about 2 years ago and kinda lost track of things so I had to start again from the begining.

Currently got a peral export kit(yes i know) with some nice zildjian cymbal's(A's).

Really just wanting to say hi to fellow drummer, Nice to be able to talk to people who have the same love of their insturment I do. Playing drums makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside ;)

P.S. Data protection act ftw and Civ 3 does suck, hopefuly 4 is better.

I cant get it to sound right.
It always has the annoying flappy sound and its tight as anything...... actually its about medium. Theres a pillow in there and everything.

Put the pillow so that 25% of it touches the batter, and 50% the reso, or as close to that as you can get.
