This is the first year I have no idea what I'm getting for Christmas. I've been to lazy to snoop around, and all I had on my list were some books, a flash drive for my cell phone, and some oil paints and canvas.

Since Bear vs. Shark broke up, I was able to get a refund for my tickets, and I then used that money to buy tickets for the Fall of Troy in january. Yay!

I have no idea what I'm getting for Christmas. I didn't ask for anything. All I know is that I'm getting very little because my car was my birthday/christmas present.

There's one thing I'm 99% sure I'm getting. When I was helping my mom unload groceries the other day, I saw a Chapters bag. I asked what it was, and she was like "Nothing you need to see :eek: " and tucked it away. I'm 99% sure it's a book of The Onion :p

I unwrapped some stuff today. Cash, a really nice sweater, and No Direction Home on DVD.

I do know that I'm getting Sin City and/or both Kill Bill 1 and 2 from my uncle.

I hope I get a book of The Onion articles, they're so great for toilet reading. But I don't think my parents know which ones we already have :(

But it's because I'm changing programs next semester, and none of these courses will give me an advanced standing in anything. It was pretty much a waste. I wasn't enjoying it, so I didn't try.

I had a nice Christmas. My parents and brother gave me both seasons of [i]The Office[/i] on DVD, which I was pretty pleased with.

Erm, obvious suggestion by me, but Iron & Wine is probably suitable. Each Coming Night, Faded From The Winter, or Sodom, South Georgia...

No, it's highly likely that it will be an Iron & Wine song. I have to consider the lyrics carefully. "Faded From The Winter" is probably a good choice, but I might be able to do better.

I don't know if it's fitting, because it's first person perspective , but the Johnny Cash version of "We'll Meet Again" is what I want played at my funeral.

EDIT: I wasn't just saying that, I mean that's my suggestion for you, Jon.

I looked through most of Sam Beam's lyric library and either "Faded From The Winter" or "On Your Wings" are probably lyrically the best. I may have missed one though.

"Faded From The Winter" does seem to be the most fitting. It's eerie how many of the lines from "Sodom, South Georgia" apply, but others are totally not what I'm going for. "On Your Wings" might work, but I'd have to retool it musically, because I don't think it's quite the feel I'm going for as it is on the record.
