That seems mightily sucky

mudvayne420 12-10-2005 09:38 PM

if it's going to be like that then for sure they released them for contractual purposes, but maybe not, i dont mind i'll still check them out.

BlindWriting 12-10-2005 10:38 PM

Ten bucks says that the commentaries are either from Scott Reeder, King Buzzo, one of the members of Collide, or anyone else associated to the Tool that Blair talks about on the site for no real reason.

Dr. Jake Destructo 12-10-2005 11:31 PM

MJK said the album is on final tweaking stages. OMGZZ!!!!!1!

I thought that asterisk was Blair's assessment, which is about as meaningful as a steaming pile of crap. I'm guessing the album will be released within the first 3 months of 2006.

Each one contains the video with audio commentary by a guest (and NOT by the band members)
...........................Those lazy b*stards can't even comment on their own videos, theyre so rich they can get guys to do it for them. Damn you to hell tool!!

Ah no i love you maynard, danny, adam and justin!!!

That is pretty weak though.

I'd say scott reeder will definatly be in their, and for parabola definatly alex grey, hey thats not so bad, but still damn you to hell tool!!!!!!!

randomthought9 12-11-2005 09:27 PM

I actually like how they don't give commentary. It kinda keeps it open to interpretation, which is half the fun.

And yeah, I can't wait for the new album as well. What's it gonna be called?

Darkness 12-11-2005 09:34 PM

Yeah, if they told us what the videos and songs actually meen, that would suck indeed.

Futuro 12-11-2005 09:41 PM

Sup dudes. Long time no seeeeeeeee.

This "News" is pretty lame, seeing as the videos are so easily accesible, I really doubtI will buy them as it stands. Now the live DVD.....

Darkness 12-12-2005 06:24 PM

All right, well, I eagerly await it.

Kage 12-12-2005 06:58 PM

At least that's something more concrete. I don't have a problem with it.

ThePatient 12-12-2005 08:14 PM

The posts on that site were... wow.

A few of my favorites:
Another new album??? They just release that Ghost Reveries album cot too long ago.

TOOL is über overrated... The live show was lame just some tv screens with wierd videos..... I left TOOL to see Godsmack instead. Everything about TOOL and APC is that it is super boring.
We have a winner!!!

Oh and this is good news. Not great news, because it'll probably be pushed back, because they're dicks like that.

Werny 12-12-2005 08:15 PM

I don't think the commentaries will be worth it, I mean the videos go for 6 minutes and 10 minutes, we won't get much chatter out of the boys.

But I eagerly await the remixes, have you heard Pigs of the Roman Empire? It's Lustmord with The Melvins (when they had Adam Jones... he might still be with them, actually). Brilliance.

Futuro 12-12-2005 09:08 PM

Wow, what a great forum. That's gonna be a great time for music! New Tool, and new RHCP!

dUSK 12-12-2005 11:37 PM

So, last night I re-watched an interview with Maynard that I have on my laptop, and found it surprising that he referred to Nirvana as one of their peers (alongside RATM, Soundgarden etc). I found it interesting. Thoughts?

Werny 12-13-2005 03:37 AM
I guess you could call it brilliance. I like to call it crap.
I think he added so much to The Melvins' sound, he made it so much more trippy and atmospheric. But to each his own.

Not surprising, they were both very alternative and both guitarists have bizarre tones. Remember that peer doesn't necessarily mean they liked Nirvana.

TOOL singer Maynard James Keenan is preparing to release the first wines from his own personal vineyard. Three 2004 red wine blends will debut in the spring of 2006, with more information available at caduceus.org.

Static 12-13-2005 11:15 AM

Isis will be the Summer 06 opener unless something changes fast.

.......

Esoteric_Creator 12-15-2005 05:21 PM

Hey there Sinner's and Enlightened Ones alike,

For those who are fans TOOL (granted), Alex Grey and of Daily Grail, there is a news update:

Those out there who enjoyed the Alex Grey piece in the most recent issue of Sub Rosa, and who like that teeny-boppin' boy band known as TOOL, might be interested in a new book from Alex Grey scheduled for June 2006. The short blurb for the book includes this: "Tool celebrates the fusion of two of the top talents in the worlds of art and music."

And if you like TOOL and art combined, then you're surely a person of high tastes and don't mind combining the legendary band with some wine as well. And what better wine to drink when listening to Mister Keenan's dulcet tones than this little drop? I'm sure our good friend Blair over at Toolband.com has been telling us about this for months now, but knowing him he probably wrapped it in some esoteric biliteral cipher known only to a few enlightened initiates (and their drinking buddies, waitresses, and really anybody who would listen to them at 3am after a long night).

Just something else to wet appetites till the Live DVD and new album come out..

Prying Open my Third Eye,
~daniel

paganman7 12-15-2005 07:54 PM

New update on Toolband. Nothing big, just some screenshots of the two DVD menus.

denboy 12-15-2005 07:59 PM

Hm, as lame as it might sound, I'm considering buying those DVD's for those menus, haha
