O rly?
Yarly dude 17" are the smallest I go. 16's might as well be a hihat.

BummerJonny 05-05-2008 05:52 PM

both my crashes are 18".

i have a 16" but use it rarely, as an effect cymbal.

Aaron 05-05-2008 05:52 PM

I've already got two 16"s, three 18"s and a 20". I like the 16"s best.

Not everyone plays chugga chugga crasharide music.

So in other news my parents have decided to divorce after being separated since the start of last year. I don't know what to think.

That sucks, man.

My parents were going to do the same kind of thing, separate for a year and then decide whether they wanted to get a divorce, but my dad hasn't moved out yet, so I don't know what's going on with them now.

Aaron 05-05-2008 06:50 PM

It'd odd. I dunno whether it's a good thing or not.
It'd odd. I dunno whether it's a good thing or not.
Yeah I felt the same way when they told me their plans. At the end of the day it's their decision, and if they took the time to really think about it, you have to trust that it's the best decision for them.

SgtPrimus 05-05-2008 07:28 PM

I don't think it would bother me that much if my parents divorced. Ten again I can't really see that happening, and it would probably have to happen for me to know what it is really like.

I am hopefully getting my license tomorrow.

Aaron 05-05-2008 07:28 PM

Yeah exactly WAR. It doesn't effect me; I own my own place and live there, not with either of them, but it still sucks. Saying that, as I told my mum, you've gotta do what makes you happy.

fishbulb 05-05-2008 07:33 PM

Wank?

Aaron 05-05-2008 07:35 PM

Win A Rabbit 05-05-2008 10:26 PM

yeah so i was talking to a sort-of friend about art.

he's a photographer, and i do mostly photo editing and stuff digitally. and eventually it got to him saying that what i do isn't really art because i'm just taking something that's already there and changing it to present it in my own way, and i said isn't photography just presenting something that's already there in your own way? and he got offended.

i don't know, i'm not trying to say i'm super artistic, but i think i'm on the same level as a photographer.

don't think of art as something that is representing something unrepresented. art is the expressive representation of something.

Permanent Solution 05-05-2008 10:51 PM

art is what you make art to be.

For some people, ambient forest recordings is music. For others, it is noise. Same applies to all media.

fishbulb 05-05-2008 11:21 PM
