Check out the edit. Hes using a shure sm57. Those are 90$ and they are used on records where they could spend as much as they want on mics.

But you dont just have a mic, you need to plug it into something. A mic pre. And you need an audio interface, wich converts analog to digital. The better it does that the better the sound quailty. Theres lots of mic pre/audio interface combo deals.

Damn it. I thought a $40 mic and audacity would be sufficient. I dont have a job, therefore I have a desperate need for cash. Most of my money goes to gas.

See I felt ther same way for a long time. And now I finally have it, and cant use it :(

I was talking to someone about gas, and they put a system in their car that runs on vegetable oil. She would just go to chinese restruants, and they give her free fuel.

I love recording when it's convenient. I also love doing vocals. Now that I think of it some guy is coming tomorrow at noon to record stuff.

I use Audacity. Works well for the most part.

Oh man, I can feel a night of extreme exhaustion ahead. I was up until 3:30 am last night on the phone with my girlfriend and it's starting to catch up with me. I still need to play guitar for a while and I don't want to go to sleep until she calls.

I hope I don't sleep through my guitar lesson tomrrow morning.

I call it soda. I guess most of the midwest ie Chi town calls it pop. The stupidest name for it has to be a "soft Drink" though. They aren't soft at all, and it never goes down smooth, unless it's flat.
