Asoiaf isn't your average fantasy either. There isn't a ton of sorcery and 0 goblins or Orc or sub humans(unless you count the undead). It has a very deep plot and the violence is realistic and brutal, you see main characters killed off quite a bit. Best fantasy series I've read.

I keep reading the Qur'an to see if it's just some of the people who are crazy, but so far it's the book
the quran is a really good read, and far from illogical or crazy.
its illogical and crazy for being a religious text

P13 09-27-2009 06:57 PM

The revelation of the Holy Qur'ân was not an accident, and un-connected episode in the history of people. According to the Qur'ân, Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc., are but different aspects of one and the same religion, which, in its original purity, was the religion of Islam (-submission to the will of Allâh and to make Peace with Allâh and people.)

Huh? Everything humans emote is natural.

Why is hatred immoral?

P13 09-27-2009 07:01 PM

muslims and christians fight because Muslims believe that they have to get everyone to submit to allah.

I THOUGHT YOU READ THE QUR'ÂN!!!

AA-12 09-27-2009 07:03 PM

islam rules because the point is to always put truth, science, and knowledge above faith.

TimJim 09-27-2009 07:03 PM
Huh? Everything humans emote is natural.

Why is hatred immoral?
well i mean hate of other beings. we are all equal.

as to what humans emote.... it depends on the culture i guess. humans are driven by self desires that are more complex than that in the rest of the created world, so it stands to reason that we would develop stronger emotions such as hate and love. so i guess i should take back hate being unnatural

Nepenthe 09-27-2009 07:04 PM

um hate is like the most natural thing there is

and theres no such thing as morality sooooo

your argument is invalid

P13 09-27-2009 07:04 PM

and conveniently enough it's all in the qur'ân!

islam is complete submission to faith

AA-12 09-27-2009 07:06 PM
Where do you get that from? Allah and unquestioning faith always comes first.
unquestioning faith yeah, but it states that without knowledge and understanding, faith is irrelevant.

Are you saying I am equal to a slug? That would be silly. Hell, humans aren't even truly equal. Some people are just worthless.

Nepenthe 09-27-2009 07:07 PM

P13 09-27-2009 07:07 PM

Faith can never be irrelevant in a religion. Religion IS faith.
