I find so many deals on MX for instruments and then my parents decide AFTER i start to make the deal that I cant do it.

It's a damn shame when your not allowed to spend your own money you work for...
Just buy the stuff and tell them you got it from a store.

Polyamarous 10-21-2006 02:24 PM
I wanna spend my money, and im allowed to, but noone wanna buy my bass so i can start that guy on my custom one...

PaulSimonon 10-21-2006 04:13 PM

So... ummm.... hi?

sr800bkBassist 10-21-2006 04:39 PM

on wednesday Seven Generations played a show here and i brought my head because their bassist needed to borrow it. it almost died like 5 times :(. i hate that thing.

PaulSimonon 10-21-2006 04:42 PM

I let my friend borrow my head assuming since he was in a band that was sorta well known he knew how to play bass/set up an amp.

I was sorely mistaken... I had to go in and meddle mid-set so that it didn't die because he was stupid and tried to get it to overdrive without knowing how to work it properly. My amp doesn't overdrive in the first place, so it was not a good sound....

Squire+pick+wildly flailing+my amp=****ty tone.

It's disgusting, what he's done.

irishslappop 10-21-2006 04:52 PM

Polyamarous 10-21-2006 04:52 PM

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2006 04:53 PM

Also, I just rewatched Lost In Translation and remembered why I love that movie.

BenJammin 10-21-2006 04:57 PM

Pfbt, Canada just sucks the dick of the states. You're better off going to Russia or something.

irishslappop 10-21-2006 04:59 PM

guys do you understand what this means? do you get it? this means that if he wants to, bush can say that protesters standing outside the white house are military combatants and can have them discreetly MURDERED.

IT COULD BE YOU. this is serious guys. something needs to be done about this.

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2006 05:00 PM

If shit falls apart, I've moving to Amsterdam.

Except that nothing can be done right now, and nothing will be done.

Bush won't be president after 2008, don't worry. If that changes that someone can be president more than two terms, then Clinton should take power again.

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2006 05:06 PM

Did I mention that I got drunk while watching Lost In Translation? :p

Now I need to go get high and all will be right... except for Bush being a Nazi... but, you know...

At least I'm in Canada, which is safe for now, but that is seriously messed up what they're pulling. If the Democrats don't take over in 2008, I'll be shocked.

irishslappop 10-21-2006 05:07 PM

too bad bush just declared clinton a military combatant and a sniper is sitting outside his house...

this is a set up guys. what happens if bush doesn;t give up the presidentcy? is it really that hard to imagine with all the other horrible **** he has done? no its not? and now that he can make ANYONE a military enemy of the uniter states, he cant be wrong. if he wanted, a tank could roll up to your home blow it down. this is how extreme this is.

you have a small buffer, but if the **** hits the fan, canada will be first, just like france in WWII.

Polyamarous 10-21-2006 05:10 PM

Come to Europe, it's safe plus the alcohol and women are wayy better.

It does rain alot though.

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2006 05:10 PM

It's not just Bush, though, it's Cheney and the Republican Party, Bush is more a pawn than anything.

I understand how thoroughly retarded and messed up this is, but Bush will be out of the White House in 2008, and as I said, I'll be surprised if the Democrats aren't in control. Things have been wrong since the 2000 election, time is coming to restore order and what is right... at least to a certain extent.

irishslappop 10-21-2006 05:12 PM

but the people dont know spiff. NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS. omg man, im like........im getting really really nervous right now....

and another thing, what if i move, and america goes to war? what if i have to fight against them? WWII only happened 60 years ago, its very possible.

wow im freakin out.

I bet Tom Morello knows. He'd gladly get arrested again for something like this. :p

But seriously, I'll keep my ears open about anything relating to this. I don't like where this could be going.

PaulSimonon 10-21-2006 05:14 PM

Also notice how many republicans voted against that bill compared to democrats...

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2006 05:16 PM

As I've said, I don't think another World War is coming quite yet. This is just messing with stuff within America, the next World War isn't coming for a while... I think until we're dead, or at least too old to fight or actually be THAT affected by it.

BenJammin 10-21-2006 05:16 PM
But seriously, I'll keep my ears open about anything relating to this. I don't like where this could be going.
No kidding, eh? It's the total undermining of civil liberties.

I hope Steve doesn't get any ideas.

There must be a legitimate (or close enough) reason for this act, whether it's US-Iraqi defectors or whatever. I doubt very much this thing will last.

What worries me is how much Tony Blair and George Bush kiss each other's įsses. And then what this means for us.

Polyamarous 10-21-2006 05:17 PM

World War is not likely. Civil war? I'd wager on it.

Spaceman Spiff 10-21-2006 05:26 PM

Canada is run by Conservatives too right now, and our PM is a big Bush supporter.

PaulSimonon 10-21-2006 05:28 PM

So, um, Supreme Court anyone? Doesn't seem like this would stand for long as being "Constitutional". But then again the Patriot Act didn't either.

It was mentioned in the video that the SC was inclined to go along with it and give the President those powers.

ebe9 10-21-2006 05:31 PM

So just watched Last Action Hero.

Old as the hills but still a great movie.
