Eh, every single person I know that started smoking weed turned into someone that I just flat out don't enjoy being around. Basically, I can't stand being around stupid people, and EVERYONE is stupid when they're high.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Weed does not turn you stupid, alcohol turns you stupid. Weed makes different people act differently, and a lot of the way you act depends on what situation you're in.

Umm...they both turn you stupid. And thanks for bringing alcohol into it, even though I never said anything about it.

What I'm saying is every single person I know that started smoking not only wasn't fun to be around WHILE high, but also wasn't fun to be around when they WEREN'T high simply because of how weed changed them I guess. I'm not saying it's bad to change or whatever, but for ME, personally, I didn't like how they changed so I had no desire to be around them. Stop taking it so personally.

I'm not taking anything personally. I don't buy what you're saying at all.

First of all, don't knock weed until you try it because you really don't know what it does to you. If you want, you can be very introspective and quiet when on weed. It can make you appreciate music more. It heightens a lot of your sensations, which basically means if you're around friends, you generally act a silly, don't you? Joking around and things like that. Well, when you're on weed, it's heightened, you just act more silly, etc. Well, when you're by yourself, you think about **** and you're introspective right? when you're on weed, it's the same thing, but even more so. There's not one blanket effect it has, and don't even try to tell me what weed does to you since you've never done it.

It doesn't turn you stupid in the way that alcohol does by impairing your judgment and making it so you can't think straight, causing you to do stupid things. It just takes you to a different place in your mind...the way people respond to that varies greatly.

And this whole story about people going off the deep end when they start smoking weed, come off it. It's such bullshi[size=2]t[/size]. I know so many people who smoke weed and they just act normal when they're not high, if anything they are a little more laid back most of the time which can hardly be a bad thing.

Get off your damn high horse and stop assuming so much bs.

First of all, I've never in any posts said whether or not I have or have not smoked, when you just assumed I haven't.

Second, I never said my friends "went off the deep end." I'd also appreciate it if you didn't call it "bullshit" since I'm not generalizing what I'm saying to everyone, so basically what I'm saying is in my own experience; yeah, maybe I'm a liar, but what would be the point of that?
My friends just became completely unbearable to be around--they didn't care about anything, their memories became utter shiat, and they acted like smoking was pretty much the pinnacle of their days.
Before you assume more, YES, these types were the ones smoking every day; I realize that it's a lot difference than smoking infrequently, which I get the impression is what you do. But regardless, I really just don't like what the drug has done to my friends. I don't care if it's illegal or legal, I don't care if anyone else does it, all I'm saying is it's not my cup of tea for myself or for the people I want to be around.

And again, stop bringing alcohol into it, because that has nothing to do with anything I said.

Dude, I know you haven't smoked because of the way you talk about weed. It's the way everyone who's never smoked talks about it--completely lacking knowledge of its effects and general knowledge of it.

FIrreal, I listened to () a week ago after not listening to it for months, and I forgot how amazing the entire album is. I especially love the last half of it.
I thought Takk was still really good but not quite as memorable. I'll have to listen to Ageuskd Byrhesdk (whatever) sometime and see how that holds up now.

DFelon runs the thing, and he randomly assigned it to me. As far as I can tell, what they usually do is that everyone participating throws out an album to be reviewed, and all the albums are pooled and randomly assigned to someone.
