you dont have to like them, but you cant deny the fact that they are incredibly unique. not only did they invent a new type of heavy music 15 years ago, but to this day noone has even been able to come close to replicating their sound. thats originality.

Except Heafy is a million times lamer, with the vocals, live performances, riffs, and the general quality of songwriting.

Yeah I really dislike this band but I do like some of the riffs off Ascendancy.

If your talking about Enter the conflgration (or whatver its name is) then i didnt really like it either. There really was no hook for me to sing along to. It just didnt sound good to me.

But i did like detonation.

Wait, the song i'm talking about is [I]Anthem (We are the Fire[/I]).....

Oh haha, sorry. I really dont know what to think about anthem. It just didnt sound like trivium to me. It sounded like they were trying too hard to be someone else. It isnt that bad of a song though, but it just didnt have that trivium feel.

I just saw the video for Anthem (We are the Fire) on Kerrang, kinda reminds me of a pop punk band video with the teens and the swimming pool etc.

The new album doesn't sound like something Metallica would put out... but when I listen to it, I'm just reminded so much of them =\

dude, i haven heard any of the songs off the new album yet. i'm not going to listen to it until it comes out.

Aye, without ruining it for you I'll just say that it IS a very good album, I like it way more than Ascendancy... it's a bit more.. mature I guess would be the closest word to describe it :)

As far as the songs off The Crusade that Ive heard;
Anthem > Detonation > Entrance of the Conflagaration
But hey thats just my opinion.

And also in regards to Matt's live vox theyve improved sh1tloads since he cut out the screaming

It has been leaked, good qulaity too. As regards the album, its a bit milder than the last two. And i swear if 'metallica' was written on the front it would be called the best metallica cd in ages. Its pretty good, surprisingly the Tracks contributed by paolo, probably the weakest musician, are among the best on the CD. The screaming is mostly gone, but he can sing surprinsingly well. I do miss the sqwarking though haha. The instrumental is very nice, definetly one of the highlights. All around a great CD, and no im not a fanboy, i just appreciate decnt metal once in a while. If you are expecting Ascendancy or Ember, you will be surprised.

You can still tell it's Trivium, they still have those half time singing parts like the Ascendancy chorus.

Ohshi, I already listened to those albums WAAYY too many times. Well, I won't check the new trivium album, I really disliked Ascendancy.....

Me neither, i thought it was below average at first, but then I saw them live and they made me hate it.

I'll stop bashing this band because I think it's pretty stupid to bash bands in their own threads but. seriously, this guys kinda suck. I've seen them live and the vocalist, ugh.
