Admittedly, I didn't even think of it that way...

We should find a country that's in the EXACT center of the world and we could all go there  Or if not a country, a secluded island.
The exact centre is the core buddy... You can't find a 'centre' of a circumfrence.

Foxfire 08-04-2004 11:58 PM

SPAMMAR!

There's a hypothetical "center" on the surface of the Earth.

Or we could go to the core as someone suggested and have roast guitarist with a side of vocalist...

Espbassor 08-05-2004 12:00 AM

Why not just meet at a neutral location? Like the artic for example :D

Foxfire 08-05-2004 12:01 AM

Nice idea, but wouldn't that warp our basses?

Crapdragoon 08-05-2004 12:02 AM

It is just one of the best shows in the world, some people say its overrated, i don't care because there is not one episode that doesnt make me laugh. I wish it would go on forever, but what ya gonna do eh? :upset:

Foxfire 08-05-2004 12:27 AM

Hey Coffee, I didn't know you played stick, that's cool. I remember one thread here that was saying that maybe the stick would take over bass and render it obsolete, what's your view on it? I personally have never listened to one, do you have any recordings?

Myung 08-05-2004 09:16 AM
Hey Myung, DBJ is letting people get their old names back, or just merge all posts into one account. You should ask him about it.
where can this be done ?

Foxfire 08-05-2004 09:39 AM

^ I thought they were doing that in the pit? o_O

And I laugh, my friends wanted to play Tool stuff, but when they realized that the lines in Schism and 46 & 2 are bass, they decided they didn't want to :p.

Espbassor 08-05-2004 09:40 AM

^^ Thats kind of funny

I've tried doing recordings to let you guys hear but they never turn out good enough so I give up :p

as for the stick rendering the bass useless, that's the most obsurd thing I've ever heard. That's like saying that drumkits would render d'jembe obsolete :p

RaDiOhEaD_fAn 08-05-2004 11:27 AM

To nisakss. Buy a Tony Levin CD, he's the *so-called* master of the stick. There was a Bass Guitar Magazine special on the chapman stick, looks interesting, I struggle with 4 string tapping so anymore than that would boggle my fragile mind............

nisakss 08-05-2004 11:33 AM
Wew, I feel much better now. :p

Espbassor 08-05-2004 11:37 AM

Sticks look awesome, I want one, but I have so little money :upset:

In other news...

Tonight marks a change of an era for me. No longer is my bass playing confined to my groups of friends and just solo pieces. Tonight I play for an audience for the first time. Tonight I play with a band.

Tonight is my first gig

Time to pwn harrisburg with my bass!

Foxfire 08-05-2004 11:39 AM

! :D Gratsphemy Esp :)

Lucky.

:upset:

Espbassor 08-05-2004 11:40 AM

Haha, don't be jealous, I'm playing at a brewry/bar so I doubt anyone will be coherent enough to pay attention to me anyway :thumb:

Foxfire 08-05-2004 11:43 AM

Of course they won't pay attention to you, you're the bassist. Who cares about bassists? :p

And I've found a loophole in the "women are gimmicks" thing...because women who play bass are not gimmicks :p especially if they slap it ;)

Myung 08-05-2004 11:47 AM

the boards sucks exept for the bass forum.

Espbassor 08-05-2004 11:47 AM

I care about the bassist :upset: ;)

There are no loop holes. Slap is a gimmick :p

Foxfire 08-05-2004 11:48 AM
the boards sucks exept for the bass forum.
And ESP, if Slap is a gimmick, then tapping is too.

:upset:

Espbassor 08-05-2004 11:51 AM

It is, but a gimmick I use frequently :thumb:
