me likes punk 05-01-2005 05:50 PM
I say inward
thank you young man/lady

Brain Toad 05-01-2005 05:56 PM

Inward is the best. Don't just go vertical either, once you bend it in, bend in more so the points are facing the fabric. That gives it extra secruity.
I need Help Fast!
I have a BIg riding test today, So i needed to polish my leather riding boots, Well i ran outa leather cleaning s'hit. , water dosnt work because they're so old and cracked..
Help?!?
Might be a bit late for this but if you use a rolled up pair of tights (panty-hoes ) and just polish them with that then it should work, my uncle used that for his boots in the army and it always seemed to work for him
any ideas on how to make a backpack?
Take one apart, see how and where it's sewn, and emulate that.

Rise Me Up 05-02-2005 04:24 PM
anybody have any patch making tips,or know what page i could find it on?
Well, I've said it before in this thread, so I'll just go dig up what I said before:

I also make my own patches. The way I do this is I print out the image that I want from my computer onto some cardboard-ish material. Then I cut the image like a stencil and use fabric paint. Fabric paint pens work a lot better then just bottles of fabric paint, but they run out much faster.

Jessizzle 05-02-2005 04:33 PM

I made a heatskores patch while at some stupid shcool thing where we had to use sewing machines, I just wrote what i wanted and it printed out. Perrrfect!

Rise Me Up 05-02-2005 04:35 PM

Thanks.

oitotheworld 05-03-2005 08:08 PM

what can you do to a pair of shorts to make them look cool? i'm gonna put some patches on them but anything else?

AIRIC 05-03-2005 08:16 PM

make them punk.

Glass_Hero 05-03-2005 08:35 PM

how can i make pink spray paint? I'll prolly use an airbrush so i just need to know what colors to combine.

Brain Toad 05-03-2005 08:50 PM

Red and white would probably do it.

SantaDuJuan 05-03-2005 08:52 PM

I'm guessing you received a pair a shoes you didn't like.
If they're like Chuck Taylors or something dye them to a color you like.
If not, use a permi marker and go crazy.

mole 05-03-2005 08:56 PM

SHORTS not SHOES

SantaDuJuan 05-03-2005 08:57 PM
SHORTS not SHOES
Oh, haha. Wow.
The dying and marking both work for SHORTS and SHOES.

But yeah patches would be nice.

Glass_Hero 05-03-2005 08:58 PM

you could just wear the shorts, and since your cool already, the shorts will be cool too.

Glass_Hero 05-03-2005 09:00 PM
Red and white would probably do it.
more red than white, or more white than red? pink really is a sic lookin color. I guess the amount would depend on the shade of pink i'm going for. Oh well i'll try and see what happens. thanx

Brain Toad 05-03-2005 09:07 PM

Start with Red and then keep adding white until you get the desired pink.

Brain Toad 05-03-2005 09:11 PM
Hey, just making sure, spray paint won't rub off of studs right away will it?
I went and asked my dad about this, because he has dealed with the metal paints the most. He said sinc ethe studs are chrome, it would take about 4 different layers of different stuff in order for it to stay without rubbing off.

oitotheworld 05-04-2005 03:57 PM

very true...

I think i'm gonna stick to just patches since studs and writing stuff might look stupid

Flagjacket 05-04-2005 04:04 PM

Aw crap, I'll just put them in my wristband then. I'll have to buy painted studs next time.

Brain Toad 05-04-2005 04:04 PM

What kind of jacket is it? Painting only looks really good on leather, but some patches just look funny. Don't paint on denim. And if its an army jacket (which is what mine is) some paint looks good, but not a lot, and patches and studs in the right places and amounts looks good.

yeah that's sounds right. I could make the pink light or dark depending on how much red i added in. Thanx

invrtedflag 05-04-2005 07:56 PM

making pinks elemantary **** people think about it for a second pink = light light red i wonder what you add to makes something a lighter color?

TheNowhereman42 05-04-2005 08:13 PM

I'm not punk enough to have a jacket covered in patches :upset:

TheNowhereman42 05-04-2005 08:25 PM

poser

Brain Toad 05-04-2005 08:27 PM

I think a patch of my avatar would be quite cool, and easy to make a stencil of it.

asdf 05-04-2005 08:44 PM

Nah, just someone who likes to make patches for the bands I listen to.
I think a patch of my avatar would be quite cool, and easy to make a stencil of it.
That could definitely be done. I think you should try it.

TheNowhereman42 05-04-2005 08:48 PM

/steal idea

Brain Toad 05-04-2005 09:06 PM

I did it, and laminted it with backing tape... it will probably not last very long though.
