 ok yea that was kinda stupid. Can you talk to people on that even if you dont go through aol?

3074326 12-03-2004 08:28 PM

Yeah, I have AIM and I'm not an AOL user. :)

Woodstock 12-03-2004 10:28 PM

The link in SonorKen's Announcement doesnt work.

Bartender 12-03-2004 10:36 PM

The thread he's referring to is a sticky in the Pit, if you don't know. I don't know if he wants to edit the announcement or something, though. Leave it up to him.

I Am Vikingcore 12-03-2004 10:54 PM

Mods, I have an idea on how to get people to stop being idiots, and making posts against the rules.

Maybe you could have a User Agreement thing that comes up the first time each person goes in a different forum on the site, that lists all the rules, and then they can use the I agree button once they've read the entire thing (a lot of things have it so that you have scroll to the bottem of the page to click, so you could use that to ensure that a lot of people will actually read that.

Kingofdudes 12-03-2004 11:01 PM

People will do what they do with the Terms of Use, they will just scroll down without reading them.

I Am Vikingcore 12-03-2004 11:16 PM

Yeah, but at least some people would read it, you know?

By the way, Bartender, you never got bakc to me last night, and I was curious to know how much longer my ban is for (Eleventeen).

3074326 12-03-2004 11:26 PM

5 Days, 23 hours left.

Bartender 12-03-2004 11:30 PM

Ah, sorry about that.

Cain 12-03-2004 11:37 PM

I posted a thing about the idiots a little while back. No one replied. Surely everyone would agree that it's reaching a ridiculously high level and something needs to be done.

3074326 12-03-2004 11:46 PM

We can't do anything about it.

The only thing the mods can do is enforce the rules. We have been doing that. There will always be idiots, and there will always be people who do not read the rules.

If you want a page of rules to load when new users enter a specific forum, take your suggestion to the Site forum. Bartender, SFK, Superpeer, and I can do nothing other than agree/disagree with the idea.

gmoneyguy 12-04-2004 01:35 PM

BludgeonySteve 12-04-2004 01:49 PM

He's at it again. http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273010

I strongly suggest a banning.

gmoneyguy 12-04-2004 01:50 PM

Wow this kid is dense.

Woodstock 12-04-2004 01:51 PM

Yes, ban the metallica83 guy, three threads against the rules in an hour. That's a new record.

Bartender 12-04-2004 02:06 PM
I thought the second thread would warrant a ban.
SonorKen 12-04-2004 02:42 PM

SonorKen 12-04-2004 02:48 PM

munky_magik 12-04-2004 08:49 PM

The metal game(again) - since you closed the guitar gme I thought you might want this one closed as well

Bartender 12-04-2004 09:00 PM

It links to burstnet.com, though.

Walrus Gumboot 12-04-2004 09:32 PM

question : why is it called MX tabs/ MX network? what does MX stand for?

Cain 12-04-2004 09:35 PM

Yeah, how did MX get his name, anyway? Is he the first member?

Riva 12-04-2004 09:36 PM

That is the link for what he is talking about.

And it is called MX because the forum and tabs site creator, Jeremy, has the screen name of MX.

Don't ask me why he calls himself MX, though.
