I got meself a ticket to next years Soundwave festival.
The lineup looks like a ripper. http://www.soundwavefestival.com/page/lineup
Is it bad that I really wanted that to be a festival hosted by Soundwave the Decepticon? |
wow, I don't see a single band on that lineup that I'd pay money to see, with possibly the exception of Meshuggah
|
Long shot here, but does anyone have an of Reuben's? Albums?

The lineup looks like a ripper. http://www.soundwavefestival.com/page/lineup
That is a rather diverse crowd of bands right there. Some of those bands I like the older stuff, but the newer stuff is meh. Sadly A.F.I.'s singer can't pull off his old stuff anymore due to the whole cyst (or w/e it was) on the vocal chords thing which ****ed up his voice. Then you know bands like Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and the like (dare I say) have at least one song I don't mind listening to. Yeah, so for the most part it is literally one song, and in the case of MCR it isn't even a song they wrote but in fact covered, but that's besides the point. Actually wouldn't mind paying to see Real Big Fish. |
Reel Big Fish and Meshuggah are the only one's I'd see, although that's probably because I've never listened to half of the others and Trivium are dog shite.
|
I'd go for meshuggah and stick around to see what else was good. some of the noname metal bands are bound to be decent drinking music at least and Anvil is always good
also I thought it was going to be about the decepticon too |
hai lod.
i can has slightly bigger avatar agin plz? edit: oh so btw my band gets to open up for saul williams in texas this weekend. ftw? |

The lineup looks like a ripper. http://www.soundwavefestival.com/page/lineup
dude haha thats got to be the most random lineup ever. but holy crap isis, emarosa, rx bandits , faith no more and sunny day real estate!!! |
So as of last Friday my work load for this week included: 9 home works, 1 computer program, and 2 tests. As of today (Monday of said week) my work load includes: 4 home works, 1 computer program, and 0 tests.
I wasted my weekend doing home work just so I could have time to study for tests, and out of those 9 home works I completed 6 over the weekend. Of course, none of the hws I didn't do were pushed back, just the majority of what I did do. That and a hw due Friday is most likely going to be pushed back to Monday, though honestly it's easy as hell. Argh... I had this whole damn week planned out to the T for studying and homework time and now I guess I'm going to have to just sleep and play games instead. I got all stressed out for nothing! |
That's the great things about festivals. If you stick around to see the bands you haven't really heard of before sometimes you get pleasantly surprised.
And maybe Rumble will show up. |
Sore Throat: Check
Muscle Ache: Check Sick feeling: Check Dying: No-Check Ugh, early symptoms of cold/flu. Hopefully I just do like I did over summer when my mother had the Swine Flu, I get exactly what I have right now for about a week and then I'm fine. It never really developed into anything serious, nor did my nose ever get congested/runny like it should if you have a cold/flu, nor did I ever get a temp like with the flu. |
Reel Big Fish and Meshuggah are the only one's I'd see, although that's probably because I've never listened to half of the others and Trivium are dog shite.

I count 4.
OT, you seem like the sort of guy that'd have an album or two by Reuben, am I not incorrect? |
BTW guys i'm a teaching assistant in calculus for biology students now is that awesome y/y
Oh too much work, I'm already swamped as it is let alone being a teaching assistant. I've thought about going for my masters in Electrical Engineering, currently finishing up a Bach in Electrical Eng. and a Bach in Computer Eng. as well as a math minor. If I do go for the masters I know LSU requires that you be a T.A. as part of getting your degree, as well as maintaining a 3.5 GPA. Though I think the big goal is go back to Houston, Tx, find a good job and if possible a company that will send me to school for my Masters on their dime. :chug: I always hear going for you Masters is a totally different experience, teachers care and there isn't much work past projects and researching for those. Hell, it almost sounds fun... but sadly my GPA is going to hinder me and I think keeping a 3.5 would be crazy, if not near impossible for me. :upset: |
Epic awesomeness: check
