I got their name wrong - so what. I've heard Winds Of Creation and the 2004 album by Decapitated and nothing else. You can talk all the **** you want but if you really agree that Decapitated are a good example of straight forward death metal, you're an idiot. I'm not denying that they are death metal, they are (albeit a sort that I dont like) and I'm not actually insulting them. So what's your problem little man?

How can you consider Decapitation a good example of basic, straight-forward death metal? I even stopped myself from flaming the band and still masscows gets asshurt.

I'd say that even WoC has enough thrash in the riffs to say it's not "straight forward death metal" but there isn't enough of a consistent outside influence to say it's anything else than death metal.

Cocaine, I've said a few times now that Decapitated definitely IS death metal, but not straight-forward death metal. It would be like saying Morbid Angel is a good example of straight-forward metal: while Morbid Angel is metal, it falls into a subgenre that is far away from simply heavy metal.

I would say that Decapitated doesn't even compare to Morbid Angel or Deicide. Perhaps they are on a par with recent Deicide but if you're comparing Decapitated to Morbid Angel or Deicide's early output then they don't come close. But I guess you were just saying that to try and stir me.

No, no, no. I'm just saying Deicide are just really lame. Even their early material. And Morbid Angel...well their first few albums are awesome. But yeah I'll take Decapitated over Deicide. What of it.

They are pretty lame. But musically, self titled and Legion are miles above anything Decapitated have ever acheived, in my opinion.

I dunno that's on you man. Deicide has that thrashy type of death metal but I prefer Winds of Creation over Deicide's Legion anyday. Yea Glen Benton is a dickhead. But that doesn't detract from the music. There are plenty of great bands that look like fags. Especially when you get thrash bands headed by 19 year olds with long hair, making them look like 14 year old girls.

as for S.O.A.R meh a lot of the bands signed to them do suck bad. But Viatrophy and KOTA are both good. Red Shore aint that bad.
