I don't think it's that "post-rocky". I can hear the influence (which I find to be less so on that album), but I wouldn't describe it as that. Odal is the most "post-rocky" song I've heard by them (haven't heard any of the EPs)

I'd consider them in the top 3 or so in metal. Every style he does it spot on.

His harsh vocals are pretty bad on later albums, but they're great on Of Stone, Wind, and Pillor.

And I'm not one to label a genre I know very little about, but I just meant to say Ashes Against the Grain has a stronger post-rock influence than any album of theirs I had heard.

He's hit or miss with lyics; Falling Snow has some horrible lyrics, but other ones like In the Shadow of Our Pale companion are great for the most part.

I agree with rice, I hear less of the post-rock, and more metal influence.

Calling a band pretentious is extremely retarded. Thats how they make their music, I doubt being over exaggerated and showy is their intention.
