Yeah, EP C/ B EP is good and doesn't seem extremely lethargic or unorganized.
Kyle, i found Battles to be kind of bland. the first few tracks were pretty cool, and I was hoping for it to pick up or get a little more organized, but it never did. kinda seems like a few guys just screwed around for a couple of days with some equipment and produced a half-assed album.
Reminds me of Animal Collective quite a bit at times. and Snare Hanger is actually not that bad prolly the only song from the album i would probably give a re-listen.
Fair enough man, I still think it's possibly the best release this year.

I think the lack of organisation is what sets it out from the crowd instead of being another traditional mathy instrumental album, it actually has some interesting ideas and a non-linear structure.

ATM 05-23-2007 09:03 AM

Plus the drummer rules :)

I doubt you're familiar with Four Tet at all, but the dude that created Four Tet is in Fridge. You can definitely tell.

ATM 06-09-2007 06:52 PM

I rescently checked out Fridge after I googled Four Tet and read that was his group.

Pretty sweet band.

Nepenthe 06-09-2007 06:58 PM

I've only heard Pause by Four Tet, but I love that album.

Kage 06-09-2007 07:07 PM

I am familiar with Four Tet.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-09-2007 07:10 PM

Oh very nice, what do you think of them?

My bad for assuming otherwise.

Kage 06-09-2007 07:18 PM

Four Tet is good, in fact I'd like to listen to them more than I do.

Nepenthe 06-09-2007 07:22 PM

Yeah Four Tet is one of those groups that I like so much that I would think I would listen to them alot, but I hardly ever feel like actually listening to them.

Kage 06-09-2007 07:53 PM

Exactly.

There are a lot of bands like that for me, actually.

Nepenthe 06-09-2007 08:02 PM

Same herre.

Txus 06-09-2007 10:59 PM
