If your interested at what Paolo says about screaming. and yes, I enjoyed that:D |
That's so not true what he thinks aobut screaming. If he hated it as much as he said i doubt he would have joined the band in the first place. Because back then, they wouldn't have known that Heeafy would blow his voice and they'd have to do a none screaming album.
|
Someone fill me in on the whole Heafy blowing his voice thing, please.

He did say he likes the direction the band was going in though, plus there are rumours that Paolo had his mom pull some strings to get him in the band. |

Heafy didn't use proper screaming technique, so he did some damage to his vocal chords. Plus, the improper screaming mixed with the singing choruses was harsh on them. So on The Crusade, he isn't going to scream at all, and Corey will do the very little screaming on the album. |
Heafy's screaming blew anyhow, the style of vocals he's doing now is actually good.
You think everyone rips everyone else off. Shut up. :p
I dunno, the note for note progression... |
Trivium's alright, I haven't heard much. They sound uninspired.

Whats with the improper screaming these days, everyone keeps rushing to get as big as possible. |
Any news on a new trivium album?
As reported on MTV.com: Trivium have finished recording their upcoming CD The Crusade. On Thursday, frontman Matt Heafy started tracking vocals at Audiohammer Studio in Orlando, Florida, where the band also recorded guitars and bass. Heafy is co-producing the disc with Audiohammer owner and previous collaborator Jason Suecof, and the album will be finished by the end of May for a fall release. Songs include "Ignition," "Contempt Breeds Contamination," "And Sadness Will Sear," "Vengeance," "To the Rats" and "Contemporary Plague." "There's one acoustic song, a Skid Row/ Mötley Crüe-sounding song, a Def Leppard, Southern-rock metal song and then 11 ridiculously technical thrash songs," Heafy said. "It's a solo insanity CD, but in a good way." ... |
It better not be another Ascendancy, I mean you can only use and reuse a riff so many times.
|
Some anticipators think it will be the new MoP
|
I hate it when people try to compare todays work to Metallica or Iron Maiden, instead of trying re-create something we should create something right now.

Yeah, I heard about the quitting the screaming, which I'm not too excited about. Apparently no one really liked his screaming, but I thought it was great, it is one of the only metal bands that I actually listen to the vocals the whole way through a song. I think they can probably make it work without them on the Crusade though. |

Wow, Heafy sounds very modest:

My favorite quote from is when he was asked why Dimebag's widow was drawn to Trivium he responded, "Whenn she first saw us play, she hadn't heard a live tone like that or seen a crowd reaction like that since the Vulgar Display of Power Days". He is so full of himself.
|

I really didn't give it to him that hard. I don't see why this next album can't be their MOP not to say that it will become a classic like MOP is but it should be theirs. Lots of bands have a MOP. |

Yes he is. See him live. Trivium is just awful live. Matt can't sing. Clear or Screams. Corey made many mistakes on guitar. Too much looking cool and not enough in the focus department. Their riffage sounded really bad live too. It's just barre chords in Drop D. |

Master of Puppets isn't even that good.
When I think influencial, it has to be good to me, otherwise I don't care about it at all... examples of influencial albums that don't suck being Slaughter of the Soul, Transelvanian Hunger, Petitioning To The Empty Sky, or The Jester Race. |
i can't wait for the crusade to come out. i thought Ember to Enferno was great. then i heard Asendency. thought that was amazing. so the crusade should be brilliant. can't wait. :D

I love how nobody responds to my elitist comments
I guess you're afraid to contest my superior intellect. |
