yea.....i bet you can relate to im so bored with the usa, being canadian and all.
i love the lyrics of im so bored with the USA...Joe was a great writer.I wish i could be half as good as him. |
I love the bass part at the end of the song.
And your band sounds like Tool? NOOOOOOOOOOO!
I like the bass line during the whole song. Some of the Clash is rediculously easy and simple, and some is just awesome and really fun, but it's all good. Rudy Can't Fail is one of their best songs, and one of their best bass songs too. |
I think rudy can't fail is a great song, but overrated. It's got nothing on wrong 'em boyo.
|
nah I <3 rudy can't fail, the Grosse Point Blank soundtrak is mucho awesome
|
I love the guitar in Lost in the Supermarket, especially the solo .
|
You kids are so cheezy, Lover's Rock is their best song.... ever.
That little music solo with all the percussion instruments is all I need for a hit! |
i love the lyrics of im so bored with the USA...Joe was a great writer.I wish i could be half as good as him.
I love the story behind that song. |
whats the story behind that song?
Something from let fury have the hour(article "Be Bop A Lula, Here's Joe Strummer" written in 1988 by Ann Scanlon for Sounds): "God knows he even sold his marriage vows for it (rock n roll). In 1974 he married a complete stranger, who needed immigration status in order to travel abroad, and he used the resultant E100 to buy the black Telecaster he has used every night since. "I'd like to get divorced," he shrugs, 'but I can't find her.' It's not something that Strummer - now the father of two daughters - things about from one year to the next. "I've been with Gabrielle for ten years and we don't need a piece of paper to tell us we're together." And although he now accepts that the clash have split for good, he and Jones are closer than ever. "Mick's daughter Lauren and my daughter Jazzi are the best of friends - a terrible duo - so I see him all the time. I see Paul too and I'm going to go and see Topper who's been detained at Her Majesty's pleasure." |
whats the story behind that song?
It was originally a song Mick wrote called "I'm So Bored With You" about his girlfriend. I think it was possibly the first song they wrote together. |
