It seems like we're the regular posters in this thread. Shame.
Does anyone else have the Complete Scores? I bought it like five years ago, such a great book. Perfect for any cover band! |
I think the record label screwed themselved up by not putting a lot of the beatles' singles on albums.
These days you can't get the original singles (or at least it's hard to) so many people won't hear/buy those songs. They may have sold well orignally, but they don't anymore. |
I am seriously considering buying the complete scores, I could use the trombone music if any :D
Its kind of nice sometimes when there are singles that didn't quite make it on CD. Its such a nice surprise to find them |
Part two of she came in through the bathroom window has some great basslineage!
|
Who here thinks Helter Skelter is a great song. Now one of my favorite Beatles songs.
|
I love it. Pretty intense, probably my favorite song on the second white album disc.
|
I think Yer Blues rivals it.
|

Thats probally my favorite Beatles song right now (it changes every now and then). Its just so creative. |
I think Yer Blues rivals it.
It sure does, and Sexy Sadie is pretty good too. However, I don't listen to that disc as much as the first one |
The more I think about it, the more I think that the White Album is probally the best rock album of all time. Hardly any band escapes its influences. And.....well its just amazing.
|
Sexy Sadie is such a good song. The outtro is a great piece of music.
Btw, the Complete Scores won't have trombone music. It will give you the music in the original instruments of the song, which you could rearrange as trombone music if you wish. |
If we're talking about addictive basslines, the one in Lady Madonna is absolutely great as well...it complements the keyboard part to absolute perfection. I'd say that's probably one of their most "fun" songs to listen to normally.
his bass in i want you (she's so heavy) is awesome. solid and then he busts out the fills. crazy. rain/ taxman (pretty much the same) are good too. |
Sexy Sadie is great. Ah, all the songs on the White album are great.
|

Yea I find more often then not my favorite Beatles song (whitch changes day to day) comes from the white album, well or a single from the white album (Revolution, the fast one) |
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted in so long. I was away on a trip. It was most excellent.
Anyways, The White Album. Not a huge fan of it. It's good, but I'd say Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, Revolver, Abbey Road, and MMT are all superior. |

I've been gone for a while, but I'm back!
Anyways, I love the White Album, but I like Rubber Soul, Abbey Road, and MMT a little more. I had a fellow guitarist over on the weekend and I made him listen to Helter Skelter for the first time. I think he liked it, but he didn't really react how I did when I first heard it.:( Favorite songs from White Album: Revolution 1(fast and slow), Helter Skelter, Rocky Raccoon, Don't Pass Me By, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Yer Blues (not in that order).:) |
Favorite White Album Songs (favorite changes day to day):
Dear Prudance, Continuing Story of BUngalow Bill, Happiness is a Warm Gun, I'm so Tired, Birthday, Yer Blues, Everybody's Got Something to Hide Cept for me and My Monkey, Sexy Sadie, Helter Skelter, Savoy Truffle |
Favorite songs off the White Album:
Dear Prudence, Julia, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Blackbird, While My Guitar Gently Weeps. There are probably more, but those are the ones that come to mind immediately. |
My favorite songs off the white album are........the white album
|
How delightfully vague.
|
I try :thumb:

Most likely not. Some music is just not supposed to be mixed. |
Beatallica is really cool.
|
Hmm... I may have to check them out then.

That would just be awsome. |
