When I was a freshman a junior told me aabout them, and even saw them, but I never really listened to them. All I know is that they are two guys? And they play hella fast.
/pun
Sort of like Lightning Bolt. |
Screamo is a heavier version of screamo, usually bordering on grind but having an extreme sense of art and emotion.
Hahahahhaha. |
I can't believe most of you guys haven't listened..
http://www.purevolume.com/henryspencer
I'm listening now. |
Hahahahhaha.
My bad. The definition of a screamo band is any band that cries on stage. |
I cried on stage once. Only because I dropped my guitar on my foot.
Your band is emo then.
Awesome (?)
You guys suck.
Ok this is a rant against the whole "emocore" thing
Where the fuck did "emocore" come from? Doesn't "emo" already mean emotional hardcore, making emocore = emotional hardcore hardcore?? And I see people use "emocore" to describe bands that have no link whatsoever to emo, but rather sound like pop-punk. Could someone explain? Like if emocore is somewhat of a legit word or just a misconception that spawned from the wannabe emo noobs who take MTV's word as their bible?
I thought the term emocore was around before emo. The first bands like Rites of Spring and stuff were called emocore because they evolved out of hardcore punk. Then, it was just shortened to emo. But recently people have been using "emocore" to describe bands like FATA, Thrice, A Static Lullaby etc., even though that's obviously wrong. Most people equate any music that has screaming and singing in it as emocore or screamo. I don't know, my whole explaination could be wrong, but that's how I see it. |
I thought emo came first. Wait, who cares?
DFelon, that's like the millionth time you've had to explain that. When will these people learn? Pffft, n00bz.
At least he accepts it. We have a kid named Alexisonfire and a kid named after FATA, and both of them are intelligent and actually wanting to be educated. I for one think it's spectacular.
How could they have missed his 998347598745 other explanations on the very same topic?
Eh, there's 77 pages to scroll through. Can't blame 'em.
True.

:D Still got a lot to learn though. And it's sad there next to no emo scene up where I live (Quebec, Canada) |

Antioch Arrow is pretty sweet.

I don't like them at all. But I've only heard their older stuff.
I love them. They make me all hot and bothered.
They make me quiver with excitement.
Antioch Arrow makes my panties all wet. :naughty:
And when I say older stuff, I mean later.
I don't understand.

That stuff's really weird. |
Yeah, I remember AMG talking about how they went gothic on that album but the music just sounds lame.
I can't stand goths. But My Chemical Romance is SOOOO cool. Not. Eff them.
"Goth" kids don't even know what real goth is. They just get their cloths at the local Hot topic and listen to Korn.
I see alot of kids that hang out in front of Hot Topic. Pathetic.
