Seriously guys, what's up? This thread hasn't been this slow in years...

AB/CD 03-23-2006 11:58 AM

probly cos its becoming very repetitive.

purgatory 03-23-2006 12:22 PM

Is Maiden touring the US anytime soon?
Is Maiden touring the US anytime soon?
no.

probably early next year.

purgatory 03-23-2006 12:32 PM

Why doesn't any of the good tours hit the US? I hate it here lol.

Don't be saying stuff like that!!!

I just picked up my bass for the first time in two weeks....my plucking finger is nearly bleeding. Maybe playing Out of the Silent planet and double speed isn't a good idea :p

the_uber_penguin 03-23-2006 01:24 PM

Definately not.

NP- Journeyman.

Anyway, I'm going to try my hand at stand up comedy. I'm just writing my set atm.

Hmm. When was the last time Maiden toured USA?

Mr. Black 03-23-2006 01:38 PM

Is anyone going to their show in Sheffield in December?

AB/CD 03-23-2006 01:55 PM

well your gotta admit like it always comes back to the same subjects (and yet I still come back in to read it all  )

bass is great fun like got into an argument with some guy who used to play saying it was easy and started naming aload of maiden songs that are easy btu sure everyone knows maiden songs arent that hard on bass :p

Lord Abortion 03-23-2006 03:51 PM

Yeah, it's just got a little shaky in the past few weeks...
Not sure why

The same bloody questions keep getting asked.

Stevie 03-23-2006 03:55 PM

I missed the tour ! Oh no!

crag 03-23-2006 03:55 PM
The same bloody questions keep getting asked.
This is true, might explain why i haven't posted in two days too.

superflyjojo 03-23-2006 04:10 PM

I would cream myself if Maiden starting playing Rime Of The Ancient Mariner live again. Got to be my favorite Maiden song.

NP: In Flames - Dialogue With The Stars

/creams pants.

>_>

<_<

that should be an awsome tour - after BNW, SiT is my favourite album :)

Deth 03-24-2006 10:40 AM

I say its their most underrated by far, and I really like it a lot.

Josh 03-24-2006 11:36 AM

i love Caught somewhere in time, loneliness of the long distance runner and déja vu, IMO those are the best on the album, but the others are still awesome.
some people will say "OMG alexander the great is teh secks!" but tbh i don't really like it as much as the others, good song but not the best on the album.

ashman 03-24-2006 12:01 PM

Caught Somewhere in Time is an amazing song, love the intro and the bass...and the solo....and the chorus.....just love the song generally.

crag 03-24-2006 12:13 PM

The whole album is awesome, CSiT is an amazing opener.

Josh 03-24-2006 12:17 PM

well, it does have the massive long solos...

Lord Abortion 03-24-2006 04:01 PM

I like SiT alot...sea of madness is amazing, as are CSIT and Heaven can wait...

Josh 03-24-2006 04:07 PM

oh crap, how could i forget them!
i really should get genuine copies of BNW and Sit, as they're my favourite maiden albums, but lack of money* is a problem.

*caused by buying maiden tickets.

Heaven Can Wait might be Maiden's best "singalong" song. The chorus is so addictive, as is the woah-a-woah part. Seriously, there've been times I'll be walking through school, and suddenly realize I'll be inaudibally muttering that part. The rest of the album is just as good (except a few tracks, of course.) They really need to break out more Somewhere in Time tracks live (not that it matters if they don't tour the fucking US. Damn Ozzfest and your driving Maiden away.)

Josh 03-24-2006 04:27 PM

HCW is awesome. i have a couple of live versions of that. the "take my hand" bit is awesome.

crag 03-24-2006 04:28 PM
