Apocalyptic Raids 03-19-2005 07:20 AM

why not choose a good Metallica song?

Cain 03-19-2005 09:28 AM

Well, Bob Rock gave them a good mix for the first time in their career, true. I disagree greatly with enter natman's assessment of the quality of the lyrics over time, though. The quality of the lyrics fell off horribly after the black album. Look at the brilliance of the lyrics to a song like "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Don't think "Fuel" measures up, much less the crap that he's singing on St. Anger.

I was sure it's in F but I'm not so sure anymore...thanks anyway.

IAJP 03-19-2005 10:11 AM

Hmm a 1/4, never heard of that before.
Oh well, thanks a lot.

wazzacky 03-19-2005 10:40 AM

EDIT: I think that putting your keys in drops then working up would help dude...if uve got a good pitch u could figure it out

hey me and my friend got into an argument bout cliff burton... He think he died an explosion and i think he died while metallica was touring in russia and the tour bus rolled over, Cliff went through the window then got crushed by the van...Am i right?

Bartender 03-19-2005 10:41 AM

You're certainly more right than he is.

wazzacky 03-19-2005 10:42 AM

IAJP 03-19-2005 10:43 AM

Cliff was a legend...
Really sad too.

He truly is, the best metal bassist ever to live.

wazzacky 03-19-2005 10:59 AM

IAJP 03-19-2005 11:03 AM

I'm not sure, I've heard about it however.
You could try to use a P2P programme to get it (Winmx, soulseek, limewire etc)

yes, he truly is an asshole but i like him anyway.

People love to hate on his drumming, but it isnt all that bad, i think its pretty sweet.

His drum beats fit metallica perfect imo. That into in wherever I may roam where he hits snare about 20 times is pretty memorable. Lol. At least to me cause when I hear it, that song always comes to mind.

IAJP 03-19-2005 01:13 PM

The drumming on "The Thing That Should Not Be" is, in my opinion, spectactular.

Endless Obsession 03-19-2005 01:14 PM

I think the best drumming is battery.

listen to it now.

IAJP 03-19-2005 01:19 PM

No way, The Thing That Should Not Be is on repeat...while I admire Lar's drumming.

PepsiMetal 03-19-2005 01:26 PM

I'd say motorbreath has best drumming from lars. It's very good imo.

shadow_stalker 03-19-2005 01:43 PM

Harvester of sorrow for me.

Carlos Santana 03-19-2005 02:39 PM

i think Orion has pretty good drumming also i think Blackened has pretty good..im nto saying these songs cause thy're well know
