A-Life-Less-Plagued 07-06-2005 12:53 AM

I was looking at my cousin's music on this computer and there's a ton of metal and country and then there's the whole 'Rebuild' album by Verse.

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:20 AM

Man, that was not even close to enough sleep.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 02:22 AM

Dude your sleep schedule is so ****ed up, you need to pull an all nighter to get it back on track.

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:24 AM

That's what I tried today, but my friend kicked me and my other friend out at around 3, so I started walking around a bit but the sun was murdering me and I was exhasuted so I called my mom to pick me up. Then I stayed up til like 5:45 and then just passed out. My mom woke me up at 10:30 with an insanely loud *** TV, then I managed to fall asleep til 11:30, then again til 12:30, then again til 1, and now I'm up.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 02:26 AM

Man that sucks, I pulled an all nighter once, and I just loaded up on energy drinks basically.

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:27 AM

I don't abuse caffiene, that's breaking as far as I'm concerned.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 02:30 AM

Caffeine got me through finals, man you're extremely edge.

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:31 AM

No I'm not, it's abusing a drug. You can't say it's not. You're using it for a drug effect, therefore I would consider it breaking.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 02:32 AM

So you only drink non caffeinated sodas right?

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:35 AM

No, I drink caffeine. I don't drink caffeinated drinks or energy drinks in excess for a drug effect.

Brain Toad 07-06-2005 02:37 AM

Caffine addiction is a bitch, but as long as I have a wee bit of caffine, I'm fine for the day, otherwise migraines.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 02:38 AM

OK, I thought you didn't drink caffeine at all, I guess I can see why you don't drink energy drinks.

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:43 AM
Caffine addiction is a bitch, but as long as I have a wee bit of caffine, I'm fine for the day, otherwise migraines.
That sucks. Then again, massive amounts of people are addicted to caffiene.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 02:44 AM

I'm definately not addicted, I just drink a lot of caffeine if I'm in finals or for a lift. Dam'n that really does sound like a drug

oopyman 07-06-2005 02:47 AM
or for a lift
You don't consider that drug abuse?

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 03:10 AM
You don't consider that drug abuse?
I personally don't, If I'm extremely tired and about to just collapse, some drink with a lot of ginseng or caffeine will lift me up to my regular state.

I also wouldn't call it abuse because I drink them rarely.

Also, can you send the new Donnybrook!?

oopyman 07-06-2005 03:13 AM

You're taking a drug for the purpose of a pick me up. You're abusing a drug. That's undeniable.

I'll send it now. Prefare to bust a fat nut.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 03:20 AM

I'm not doing it to acheive a feeling better than my normal state, I'm doing it to get back to my normal state. If you consider that abusing a drug, that means that more than half of America are junkies just based off of caffeine.

oopyman 07-06-2005 03:24 AM

If you require a drug to be in your normal state, that's even worse. More than half of America is not addicted to caffiene, but the percentage that are I do consider to be drug addicts for the simple reason that they can't start their day without a drug boost.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 03:28 AM

Yes, but there are a lot of people like me that do it occasionally when they need it, if they know it's going to be a late night or something like that.

oopyman 07-06-2005 03:31 AM

You never need a drug like caffiene.. I've had many late nights without the need for any sort of high to keep me going.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 03:33 AM

During finals time I'm dead tired and about to fall asleep anytime, but I have to study for at least another hour or two, caffeine can get you through that time.

oopyman 07-06-2005 03:35 AM

So can speed. Doesn't mean you need it. If you really need to stay up and you can't do it on your own, you're weak willed. There's plenty of things you can do to stay awake.

SactoUnited 07-06-2005 03:36 AM

It's not a matter of your mental state, it's physical.

Brain Toad 07-06-2005 03:37 AM

Caffine has never given me a pick me up, I don't remember. I don't remember ever being more alert without caffine. But somedays if I don't get some, I'll get a headache.

Caffine has good properties as well, when taken with pain medication it helps accelerate the pain relief. Excedrin has caffine added into to help, works charms, only real pain pill that works for me personally.

oopyman 07-06-2005 03:41 AM
It's not a matter of your mental state, it's physical.
Then you shouldn't wait until you're about to fall asleep to start studying for 3 hours.
Excedrin has caffine added into to help, works charms, only real pain pill that works for me personally.
Which I'm sure is connected to your admitted caffiene connection.

How did you develop a dependancy with no effects from the drug? You just liked the taste of coffee a lot or what?
