5 hour dishwashing shifts are awexome.
Do you have a case of prune hands?

Electrocution 08-25-2005 09:05 AM

I haven't done it (them) yet, but I'll probably develop prune hands. It's cool, though, I'll be making $43.60.

Zappa 08-25-2005 10:24 AM
Any good?
It's sort of a forgotten masterpiece.

JonM 08-25-2005 12:36 PM

I just found a poorly recorded but pretty cool acoustic cover of "Optimistic" I did sometime last year. I'm uploading it right now. I should redo it with better equipment.

Zappa 08-25-2005 12:37 PM

I am making my guitar recording debut right now. I thought I'd plug my guitar into my soundcard and see if I could find some chords on the internet to go with what I've recorded on keys. Guitar is so easy.

JonM 08-25-2005 12:38 PM
Guitar is so easy.
Heh. Right. It's easy for about a year. Or until you decide to learn to play the thing, whichever comes first.

Zappa 08-25-2005 12:40 PM

Well, it's easy to not learn how to play it an just look up the fingering for an Am chord on the internet.

JonM 08-25-2005 12:42 PM

True. Lots of people make a career out of that.

Here's the track. Ignore its fidelity:

Your acoustic guitar is cool, at times it sonds like a sitar, and sometimes the muted strings sound like like congos. I liked it

Electrocution 08-25-2005 12:55 PM

Guitar is so hard.

It's tuned down to DADGBD, which is something I do a lot. I love that tone too.

snidget 08-25-2005 01:55 PM

I shouldn't have left the chat :( , I think I'm the only one in here now

EDIT: hey, my post count is
EDIT: not anymore :(

Jacaranda 08-25-2005 01:57 PM

Yes, bad snidget.
Next up is 60's rock I think, and Iron and Wine got better towards the end.

The NPC 08-25-2005 02:02 PM

60s music eh? The Sonics must be chosen.

Zmev 08-25-2005 02:21 PM

Oh well, I missed it.

Being on mx during comp applications is bananas.

Happymeal 08-25-2005 08:46 PM

Convention time in the afternoon.

http://www.hobbystar.com/ComicConTorontoV2/CC_Main.asp

Kevin Sorbo's gonna be there.

Zappa 08-25-2005 08:50 PM

Nerdtastic.

ATM 08-25-2005 08:51 PM

Nerd herd.

Happymeal 08-25-2005 08:53 PM

Hells yeh.

biografiend 08-25-2005 08:55 PM

Kevin Sorbo was the man.

Zappa 08-25-2005 08:56 PM

Nope.

Broken Arrow 08-25-2005 08:57 PM
Nope.
So who preformed at the market or wherever it was?

Zappa 08-25-2005 09:01 PM

A local band called R Jr. I love them, but they sounded like they hadn't practiced in months. The drummer particularly was incredibly sloppy.

Broken Arrow 08-25-2005 09:02 PM

What kind of music are they?
