Their first three albums were good.
I don't know about the rest of their ****. |
i just saw dark knight too. it was awesome and such and everything else everybody has said a million times already.
Yeah it was. The joker could not have been more awesome in this movie. |
I'm going to see it sometime this week. Will be great, cant wait
Their first three albums were good. I don't know about the rest of their ****.
I heard on song from their newest and from what I remember, it was okay. Blood Ritual and Ceremony of Opposites are good. Haven't heard Worship Him yet. |
It's good, so are the demos before it.
|
Samael were stupid;
Satyricon were pretty nice;
Two statements that combined are baffling! |
Yeah it was. The joker could not have been more awesome in this movie.
they did a really good job with harvey dent as well. the way he transformed into two face (not just physically) was just brilliant. i hope they bring him back for the next one. im sure they werent betting on losing ledger. i read something pretty interesting that somebody said the other day as to who might be a good replacement for joker. daniel day lewis. at first i was like wtf no way, but then i thought about it. hes the kind of guy that wouldnt just try and imitate what ledger did, which is about the worst thing anybody could do right now, and is about the only thing that could potentially ruin the next movie if joker is still in it. and hes just off the wall and loony enough to really nail it right like ledger did. he has the look as well. and it wouldnt just be a copy, itd be another unique take on the character. |
No one can ever top that performance. I don't think they will be doing another Joker movie tbqh.
|
probably not. but just thinking about daniel day lewis doing it gives me shivers of glee.
|
Aaron Eckhart is good.
|
Daniel Day Lewis would be an awesome Penguin.
|
Aaron Eckhart is good.
I fell in love with him when he did Thank You For Smoking. |
Same
|
Yeah, now that I think about it he might do justice to the joker. But meh, ledger was too damn perfect. And Aaron Eckhart was also pretty damn good.
In fact, everyone did an awesome job. Gary Oldman is kind of underrated me thinks, he did a fantastic job as Gordon. |
eckhart is good. other than bringing two face back, i dont really see who would fit as the next villain. guys like mr freeze just wouldnt work in nolans world. of course, he has the ability to take the character and make it fit like he did with scarecrow. but i just dont see any of the other villains being strong enough to carry the movie like joker did.
|
I could see the Penguin working.
|
The Penguin has enough realistic qualities to work with the series.
|
hes probably the best candidate. but i think he works much better as either the 'side' villain, or just a neutral character that isnt on either side except his own. id love to see danny devito get the nolan treatment though.
they could do some interesting things with the riddler. like, he finds out batmans identity, puts wayne/batman through hella mental trauma, etc etc. |
Yeah, the penguin would fit nicely.
|
it would be cool to see another lesser known character like scarecrow get the spotlight. black mask would be ****ing awesome. another way they could do the next one is to actually make the 'good' guys (cops etc) become the 'bad' guys as they hunt batman and whatnot. maybe have the 'villain' be the main crusader who rises up the ranks and makes it his personal mission to get batman. lots of different directions they could go with that.
|

you should apply for a job with the batman crew, anthony.
|
i should. i would love to be a producer. i want to make movies. i also want to make football teams, i think i would be really good at that too.
|
As in be a GM or an owner?
|
nah i dont want to have to deal with any of that other bullshit. maybe like, GM of Roster Management. or some shnazzy **** like that.
|
Yeah, I like that stuff too.
|
That would be ****ing great. Didn't know you were such a big fan of movies, which are you favorite movies?

Speaking as the resident Batman geek (who hasn't seen The Dark Knight due to ****ing retarded circumstances ), the Penguin never really works as a main villain, as a guy pulling the strings in the background he's great, but he's too sane to be very interesting as the main pull. There's a reason why he goes to jail when everyone else goes to Arkham. From what I've heard, the ending very much sets up a scenario close to Frank Miller's graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns (and come on, that title would rule), with Batman in his 50's, the Joker faking his rehabilitation and the country under fascist rule. Awesome stuff, dunno whether that would be chosen as the direction or not though as it would be the endgame really. |

****, im probably the worst person in the world at making lists. i just cant do it. i love movies though. ive been getting into them more and more as time goes on. some of my favorites that i can think of off the top of my head (aka ones that ive watched sometime recently) are no country for old men, there will be blood, the fountain (probably my favorite of all time if i had to choose one), dark knight of course, waking life, 25th hour, brick, tommy boy (****ing classic), cloverfield, the departed, really anything with the mob in it. uhh i suck at thinking back. i havent really seen as many older movies as i probably should. ive been mostly delving into stuff thats come out in the last decade or so lately. i really do need to start going back and watching some of the old classics that i havent seen yet.
on the batman villain subject, black mask sounds like a better and better idea the more i think about it. just read his origin story, i dont feel like typing it out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mask_%28comics%29 |
I didn't read Batman much when I was a kid, but when I did, I would always put myself in the place of Robin and imagine that Batman vigorously anally penetrated me every night

You still need an insane guy as the main villain in the movies, not a mob boss. Black Mask is cool though, **** off female Robin.
|
That list needed Pan's Labyrinth
|
Pan's Labyrinth was a bit hyped...
Heil to Fight Club and OldBoy, Txusus...... but Eraserhead SUCKED NUTS. Bunch of ****ing art fag kage mother****ers thinking they can make a movie out of nothing but boring semi-still-images and annoying noises |
lol
