Rob. I can't play drums and suck at guitar and I'm pretty good at bass. Plus, I want to know what it's like to have such awesome hair.
...Jaymz, need i say more....
I would want to be Kirk. He's so cool and shreds like a badass. Kirk is awesome on guitar, I'd want his skills and techniques.
not to change the subject but do people think its cool to hate Metallica...thats all ive been hearing is how Metallica are sellouts...sad...

good job lilmetallica...making the music world a better place :) i dislike Metallica haters...all they do is say the same things...the same things everyone else says...nobody can think on their own anymore...
...whats going to happen to music in ten years?
silence....
Who knows what'll hapen..
i just hope there are more bands like metallica...
According to The Wildhearts' frontman, it's Blues Rock with keyboards.
what are u talking about?
I was referring to what was going to happen to music in 10 years, like you asked...
ahh i c
if you could be one metallica member who would it be?
Dave Mustaine :thumb: or Cliff Burton. |
Dave Mustaine
Ahh yes, dont we all want to be whiny alcoholics. /runs away before big megadeth/metallica fued starts |
Mustaine is a great guitarist dont talk like that about him. he was good in metallica and he will always be apart of metallica. they all drank anyway...nobody wants to be lars?
to bad mustaine cant sing too good...no offense to any megadeath fan...cant they all just get along?
who is/was the best bassist for metallica
i know this might have been discussed but im curious
Whoa!
Triple post. I wouldn't want to be lars, i would want to be james because he is the greatest IDK why they can't get along, they should tour together, that would be great. And about your third question, this has been discussed a lot, and I think most people think that it is cliff burton. |
Dang... Learn to edit your posts... please...
to bad mustaine cant sing too good...no offense to any megadeath fan...cant they all just get along?
I hated Dave's vocals the first time I heard Peace Sells, but it didn't take long for the vocals to grow on me, singing AND playing the parts Dave does is also difficult, the man works hard during songs. I'll admit though, that the vocals on the live DVD are pretty iffy... he just can't hit those high notes with his voice as well.. I've never seen Megadeth live in person though so he might have just sounded different on Rude Awakening. |
i agree with u on the james statement but i think most people think its cliff because hes dead, they dont want to disrespect him and because hes an original member, i love cliff he was unorthodox in his playing but i think rob has a better stage presence...but Jason was a better technical player although he sold his family (Metallica) out by leaving...
sorry...i will edit more :( |

Yeah, he's weird, sometimes he can't sing live, the next day he can sing better.. Mustaine's voice is like an acquired taste, it just grows on you I reckon. I've introduced all my friends to Megadeth, at first they couldn't stand Mustaine's voice, now they don't care. But yeah, I don't understand why people call Mustaine whiny, see, he doesn't actually whine, unless someone brings it up, if he just started random outlashes, then I'd understand... Plus, he's bloody good on guitar, in my opinion. And the man has been through a life time of **** already. |
chu, do u like mustaine more then kirk?
chu, do u like mustaine more then kirk?
There's no contest between them, in my opinion. Mustaine without a doubt. |
Jason, from what he showed in Metallica, was the least talented of the three. However, his work in Flotsam and Jetsam (Metalshock, particularlly) is 30x better than what he was allowed to write in Metallica (Load/ReLoad were the only two albums he was allowed to really write anything iirc)
Rob is easily the best of the three. He can do it all...slap, pop, finger, hell, he even breaks out the pick once in awhile. Unfortunately, Cliff's life was taken too early in his career to know what he could do other than what he had already done. |
i like them both i think they both bring something good to the industry im glad that mustaine got kicked out of metallica because he started another good band. and kirk made a great addition to metallica. i do like kirk more, but mustaine is second on the list. but again thats just my opinion
edit: vashts80 i agree with u about rob but i think jason brought more then you think...at least live and on the dvds, solos and what not |

Edit: I think Cliff was the best bassist bassist from Metallica, maybe he didn't have technicality over the other guys, but his style was better for Metallica, and he defintely knew how a bass should be worked. |
so chu do u think original metallica was the best?
edit: do u like megadeath more than metallica? |
Well, basically the thing is this. Somebody said this about 150 pages ago (rofl), but Jason was basically trying to uphold Cliff's legacy, not surpass it. He accomplished that. He upheld the legacy for the ~15 years he was in Metallica, and he did not surpass it. He headbanged like a motherfucker and he sang like a motherfucker.
I think Metallica would've been better if Mustaine would've been like he is now and James would do what he's always done, rythym and singing. If Dave could be the lead guitar and the lead guitar only with maybe backup vocals, then I think Metallica would've been better. And think about it, they would have all of James stuff AND all of Dave's stuff.
so chu do u think original metallica was the best?
edit: do u like megadeath more than metallica?
I think original Metallica was/is the best band, ever. I think Metallica, until 1986, were the best band, after that, meh, lost interest, and Megadeth released SFSGSW, which is their best release, in my opinion. So, I like Megadeth now more, but early Metallica ****s on everything. |
Had Dave been in Metallica, there would be no Peace Sells or Rust in Peace. No Tornado of Souls, no Peace Sells, no In My Darkest Hour. Consequently, there may not have been Master of Puppets or And Justice For All or Battery.
These Mustaine conversations never end well, how about stopping it now?

i agree with that but i never really heard cliff besides kill em all. so i liked jason better until he left the band. but i liked how cliff played low on his bass he had tons of skills but never really got to show it all... |
