You think? :p

Don't rub it in.
lol.

so, i think we need another "favourites" list, but with a difference. i'm gonna have to think of a topic :(

NP: some Rhapsody song, it's got a harp & flute intro.
512k  that's like going back to the stone ages...

/2mb
before we move, this line may get upgraded to 8mb, ha.

Deth 03-18-2006 02:32 PM

Favorite songs in which Steve had no part of.
Favorite songs in which Steve had no part of.
hmm, i can only do that for the albums i own, as none of my music is stored on my pc, and my mp3 player doesn't show composer info.

EDIT: Charlotte the Harlot, Revelations, Flight Of Icarus, Sun and Steel, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Powerslave, Be Quick or be Dead, Judas Be My Guide, Wasted Years, Man on the Edge, New Frontier.

Deth 03-18-2006 02:36 PM

Yeah, I can't think of any now :p.

crag 03-18-2006 02:40 PM

All the H/Bruce songs

Deth 03-18-2006 02:44 PM

Ah, well, Powerslave takes number 1 with Revelations behind. Beyond that I can't name any off the top of my head.

Josh 03-18-2006 02:48 PM

i edited a vast number of songs in :)
(just looked through the inserts of the albums i own)

Good eve, Sir Martin.

We have been keeping your seat warm while you were away.
It was Josh specfically, so it may smell a tad.

Thunder Fingers 03-18-2006 04:32 PM

thats ok...

i think i might be leaving soon anyway... im currently thrown out of school, but chances are that i will be back again on tuesday...

Deth 03-18-2006 07:04 PM

Good to see you! It's been hard holding the fort as the only sole bass player here.

Darkness 03-18-2006 07:22 PM

How did you get thrown out of school?

Im a bass player :(

Deth 03-18-2006 08:57 PM

:shifty:

Well, talk about it more then dammit!

YDload 03-18-2006 09:03 PM

I'm a bass player too. In fact, I usually talk about Maiden almost exclusively in terms of the bass. Don't you remember the discussion I just had about which songs have the most over-the-top bass fills by Steve?

Deth 03-18-2006 09:15 PM

Fine

I like to think I'm the only bassist here then.

YDload 03-18-2006 09:18 PM

youre the only one who routinely posts recordings of yourself playing Maiden stuff so you might as well be!

Alex 03-18-2006 09:20 PM

That reminds me, purgatory showed me how much a beast steve harris is on bass. How the hell do you keep up with that speed throughout the whole fucking song!!!

Purgatory is one of my favorite Maiden songs ever. I love playing it on bass, but I'm probably only playing half as many notes as I should :(

I can play it at that speed, but after like 15 seconds my hands fall off. WTF

I've officially decided you need your avatar back

2muchket! 03-19-2006 07:04 AM

I thought I had good stamina playing fast songs, that is until I tried playing purgatory. MY hands aching now

crag 03-19-2006 07:12 AM

ha i just had a look at the bass tab for Purgatory, i want to learn it but i don't think i've got a chance in hell if you bassists find it hard:p

Josh 03-19-2006 09:15 AM

i play bass...very badly. theres no way i could ever play at Steve's speed :(

ashman 03-19-2006 09:29 AM
I've officially decided you need your avatar back
When I can be bothered to make one...and or find one.

Right, I've decided I'm going to begin learning every song on the first album on guitar. And then when I've done that, move onto the second and so forth.

I must learn every maiden song!

if there's 596 rows, that's a fairly big crowd :p
generally, the floor at a gig is all standing, at least at all the ones i've been to.
