well i've got some time to waste, since my friends are 45 minutes late for picking me up for work.

the concert was amazing. the first 2 bands (drive by punch (local band) and boys night out) were nothing special, but comeback kid and rise against were both flawless. for the first 2 bands, me and my friends walked around the place, and tried to win some free shoes. circa had a stand and they gave away like 100 pairs of shoes, to the winners of some random contests, like who could jump the highest, who could kick the highest, who had the worst teeth, etc. there were 3 pits going on the whole time. luckily there were no idiots in them, too. great bunch of guys. all in all, it was the best concert i've been to.

work yesterday was hectic. 2 people called in sick, and it was me and another guy all by ourselves for 7 hours. i made 17 pizzas in the first hour, then i'd go do some prep work, come out 45 minutes later, pan some more pizzas. repeat. i brought home a whole pizza, though. meat lovers with some pineapple and a bit of peppers. it was great, i had some last night, and some for breakfast. the rest is for my family for supper tonight.

anyways, my friends should be calling any minute now, i should go get ready.

I played a basement show last night. We got cut off early because we thought the cops were coming. The kid who was running it kicked a bunch of people out, telling them the cops were coming because it was just getting out of hand. We played last...darn.

The cops never did come. Ah well. He said he feels bad about cutting us short, so we get to play first next time (Yes, that is a good thing, because as the night chugs along, more and more kids are drunk, and we can't get cut short if we're first.:)). Anyway, we played Blitzkreig Bop (because the kids love it), Californication, In Bloom, and two originals. Plus a little disco/funk thing me and my bass player do to get the crowds attention.

It was a pretty fun night overall. We got ****loads of compliments, and I'm looking forward to playing the other original we just wrote (we didn't get to play it because of the whole "cutting short" deal) at the next show.
