I can't be bother to check but I know james plays the last short solo. Kirk play riffs and stuff at the beginning, then james joins and they both play same thing I think.

Joe 03-17-2005 02:11 PM

James does all of it recording. Live kirk does both solos and some other stuff. just work it out with your other guitarist, you don't have to pick whose kirk and whose james

Just givin you a heads-up natman..make an effort to spell properly or you'll get flamed beyond belief.

Joe 03-17-2005 02:40 PM

yea probably. and your band is singular, so "my band is doing nothing else matters at the [mo??? is that moment?] so can any of you tell me who does the solo? james or kirk?

fenderbender89 03-17-2005 02:53 PM

i don't know im pretty sure its kirk but mabye not.
for the first solo its played w/ james and kirk so i don't know.

James wrote (and plays) NEM, melodic in MOP, second in To Live Is To Die (not confirmed but sounds to me like him), middle solo in Orion (or maybe the first), whole Whiskey In The Jar and some licks on Load.

JACKROXYOU 03-17-2005 04:01 PM

It is very good but not as good as the original IMO

btoto 03-17-2005 04:17 PM
 how can James write whiskey in the jar when it's a cover?
I know it's a cover Mr. Einstein. I didn't remember about James playing Whiskey too, so that's why it was "James *wrote* NEM, MOP ..blah".
Whiskey came up to my mind when I was finishing the sentence so I didn't take notice of the begining.

 Never teach me anything Metallica !

JACKROXYOU 03-17-2005 04:33 PM

It is just like the original but they skipped the intro and made it heavier

ThrashMaster27 03-17-2005 04:40 PM
They were on Garage Inc., the two disc set. I recommend it highly if you don't have it.
Sorry to bring this back, but this was my point. Garage Days was a completely different thing to Garage Inc. True the whole of Garage Days is included on Garage Inc, but neither of the songs that person mentioned were on it.

Ok, got that!

JACKROXYOU 03-17-2005 04:41 PM

wait what?

ThrashMaster27 03-17-2005 04:45 PM

Argh! Garage Days Revisited was released in 1987, yes. I was just pointing out that neither Tuesdays Gone or Whiskey In The Jar were on that.

What the hells so hard to comprehend?

ok ok i got what you sayinit just hit mewierd

vashts80 03-17-2005 05:02 PM

James plays the solo in NEM both live and in the studio. Watch S&M and Live **** for proof. He plays the solo on S&M on his acoustic, while Kirk is just standing there strumming some chords.
