Gaelic is a language group, so if you mean Irish then I can help you.
Yes, Irish Gaelic. I need a resource for the language. At first, I was going to use Latin, but then someone pointed out to me that it was becoming a cliche, so I decided to go with Gaelic. I need to fill the majority of 1-inch-thick sketchbook with Gaelic script and accompanying sketches and diagrams.

It's been snowing all day but none of it's set. It's as if it's been raining.
Stupid English weather.

If you need the MIDI accompaniment as well, just yell at me.

Heh, reminds me of that extra on one of my Cradle of filth DVDs.
They play "eat things for money" and Dani eats a couple of moths, he only gets £5 for it though.

Jev 02-23-2006 11:17 AM

How long has MX Tabs been back up for? Is it gonna stay up?

Steerpike 02-23-2006 11:32 AM
You mean you've written something and want to translate it?
That's the plan. I haven't had time write it yet due to school work. I'm trying to make a prop for a movie.

The aim is to write out the content in the sketchbook, then use a few techniques I picked up from an artist friend to age the book and make it look like an old tome.

Bartender 02-23-2006 01:50 PM

The forum was apparently down yesterday because of a network problem of some kind.

Jom 02-23-2006 01:54 PM

Speaking of studies (kind of):

I just got back from being an extra in a TV show :cool:

I have no desire to change my major, though, heh. But it was sooooo much fun.

I'm going to be learning Gaelic after I finish up with German. It'd make more sense to learn Saxon or Frisian in between, I guess, but I don't feel like spraining my tongue.

Announcement at top of page.
why are you saying this?
Most of us learn to write in primary school. Journalists are the only ones who make a degree and career out of it. I don't really respect people who do arts, business and journalism as much as the sciences, or even philosophy or politics.

It's a bit of a joke though, so don't get offended.

By arts, do you mean actual drawing/painting/etc arts, or just anything that you come out of with a BA instead of a BSc?

Illmatic 02-23-2006 06:01 PM

BA = Bachelor's in Arts
BSc = Bachelor's in Science

Riv has nerd angst (I think) and is trying to cut down those of us going after a BA...

Although I'm gunning higher than a BA, but still
