good luck with the solos.
Oh I'm not learning the solos...
I'm not good enough for Alexi solo's yet.

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 05:42 PM

Classical sounding bit? The D harmonic minor scale??

Eh, I told myself I would never learn that song because everyone does.
Fukk it, I'm gonna do it.

I'm lost on what to play. If it's too easy or too hard, I quit. I've ran out of ideas for songs to play, lol.

lol. I finally got bored of Sixpounder.

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 06:02 PM

You could try Chokehold but the rhythm for that song is by far harder than the lead. The main riff and that interlude riff in Dmin, which transposes to Gmin.

Honestly, I've never liked that song.

I have a perfect tab for Laid To Rest, though I've never cared to learn it.

I'll give Chokehold a try later.

Any other ideas, it doesn't have to be Bodom.

Silenius 04-13-2006 06:33 PM

Ah the chorus/bridge thing... thats a fun one.

Is it hard?

Silenius 04-13-2006 06:35 PM
Is it hard?
It's about medium, if you have good picking technique it should be easy.

Bed of Razors and Towards Dead End are the only other ones that I can decently play.

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 07:10 PM

Record Towards Dead End!!

And there's Roope from the Lamb of God Killadelphia DVD, it's only audio.

I might, I need to get the sweeps clean and I havn't learned the solo, but I'll try. :)

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 08:38 PM

I just mean the intro anyway, it's the only bit I'm interested in.

AA-12 04-13-2006 08:44 PM

I'm planning on making a video soon with me playing that intro.

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 08:47 PM

How soon.

AA-12 04-13-2006 08:48 PM

Next few days probably.

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 08:51 PM

Sounds good.

AA-12 04-13-2006 08:53 PM

Anything else you want me to record when I do so?

Silenius 04-13-2006 09:01 PM

Okay, I can do that.
Anything else you want me to record when I do so?
I guess I'll just agree with I'm Charming and say any Necrophagist.
Or any Bodom stuff. \m/
Okay, I can do that.
AA-12 04-13-2006 11:02 PM

Alright, i'll do those and the solo from Enemies of Reality, if I get it down by tomorrow.

MRDuCran 04-13-2006 11:40 PM

The whole thing?

If your playing is anywhere near perfect, you'd be pretty much one of the best players on MX.

AA-12 04-14-2006 12:17 AM

The only part I have down perfect the moment is the last solo. Eggo and Aria own everyone to no extent, haha. There are tons of great other players on here too though.

MRDuCran 04-14-2006 12:28 AM

I disagree, the only reason he sounds fast, is because he trem picks through scales, quietly on an acoustic, obviously because he's in love with John McLaughlin.
Not that great at all really in my opinion.

I'm sure there are loads of other great players, I just haven't heard anything that's blown me away, well except for a few of Jonus' tunes and a few of Ihavesoldout's cover tracks

I've only heard Aria play slow classical pieces on an acoustic too.

AA-12 04-14-2006 12:32 AM

Nah, trust me. Eggo is way beyond anyone on here. He knows so much theory it's not even funny. Aria is even better than him.

MRDuCran 04-14-2006 12:41 AM

I'm aware of his theory knowledge, I just believe that he can't play that well.
Let me see if I can find anything impressive.
