I like the Metallica Font on Ride the Lightning

My favorite cover is the Kill Em All. That picture is awesome.

I have wallpapers for KEA, AJFA, and RTL. Oh and black album of course. (:lol:) AJFA looks coolest imo. Like statue of a woman holding that money thing. RTL cover looks cool, but graphics suck. It doesn't look as real. Kill em all is neat. Mysterious for that matter. Cause there is actually a shadow of someone's hand there. :p

the master of puppets cover is hella cool

anyone like the St. Anger artwork? but my favorite is Master of Puppets or Justice for cover art and the heaviest song Master of Puppets but of course that is just my opinion ;) everyone always asks whats the best so what do u guys think is the worst Metallica song? (Although i hate talking bad about Metallica, the gods of metal)

this has already been discussed, but I'm gonna say something from load or reload, there isn't a single bad song on any of their other albums

thats not true . . .AJFA WAS in fact their last thrash metal album

and its one of my favs cause they really put a lot of emotion into each song.
not to mention speed.

load, reload, and black album had no respectable songs?! what the **** are u talking about? Enter sandman, Nothing Else Matters, King Nothing Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Fuel, Unforgiven II just to name a few. Chu you have no taste, how about a little diversity in what u listen too

But seriously, Black album, Load and ReLoad are just horrible.
Maybe it's because the band went from being this ****en sick thrash band, to a piece of **** mtv band :x (I'm not saying they sold out, I just ****en hate them for changing their style, even if it's what they wanted to do, they're ****en gay for it, St. Anger was a step in the right direction, but it just wasn't enough).

i dont understand most people would say black album was their last best album and that st. anger sucks. but i agree with u st. anger is a step in the right direction more solos will help the next album. but i dont think they are an MTV band thats just wrong. Load and reload had good songs but they did not flow well songs that were unorthadox like low mans lyric and outlaw torn good songs but kind of threw off the albums but Metallica has NEVER released a bad album...of course im biased i grew up listening to them. but i respect your opinion chu even if its not a good one ;)

I'm speechless, a Metallica fan respecting an opinion, this one's rare :lol:

I think St. Anger's better then AJFA tbh. The lack of solos? I don't care, chances are I could play a better solo then Kirk these days, he's gone, history.
The drums are what gave me the ****s. Stupid Lars, seriously, the guy's a fat dick. I grew up listenning to Metallica too, my first cd I ever had, my first REAL musical experience was with Ride The Lightning, it blew my mind, and paved the way for Master of Puppets, but in my opinion, Ride is their best CD, followed by Master and Kill 'em All both tied at a very even second, and then St. Anger somewhere, then.. They released other albums? Oh yeah, **** ones :D
But nah, they haven't been doing justice to the name Metallica since like 1990. It's gay, Lars' steals this sick METAL band name so he can create a band that slowly tears itself away from metal. It's horrible.

. . now i just hope better things will come since all or atleast most of their issues are resolved.

I dunno, I hate the guy, James and Cliff were the driving forces behind the legend that was Metallica. Cliff dieing, and then James giving up alcohol, that was the final break. Maybe if they all went through mid-life crisis, grew their hair long, took up drugs again, and just spent like 6 months in a recording studio, Kirk taking guitar lessons again, this time focus on theory, so he can compose a decent solo :P

Nah, there are about a 5 songs after Master I can say I like, well, that's not including St. Anger, which isn't bad imo.

u think it was them stopping drinking and drugs that made them bad? it was the drugs that made them go crazy...there is always going to be an album that your not going to like. its not that they stopped drugs or because they were depressed its because everyone likes something different and thats what Metallica does they adapt to what people like in their music. so you didnt like it when they changed from thrash but more people started to like them...but to me they are great i like most metal and im easy to please especially when it comes to Metallica.

More people started to like them, because they're mtv metal.

Edit: By the way, alot of my flaming directed towards etallica is just because I find it hilarious to get you guys psyched on such a thing.
Metallica fans react so fast to anyting about their band, and they're always quick to throw in some defense, even if it's not 100% accurate. I think it's funny.

Metallica was the best thing that was on their when they did play their videos. Metallica is the most powerful force in metal i dont care what anyone says.

what needs to happen on the next album is let everyone do their own thing like their old music. St. Anger was awesome but if they left them each to do their own part i think it would have been better. but again Metallica has never had a bad album. oh and Chu in our previous conversation just because u give everything a chance does not mean that you are diverse in what you like...

I didn't say what I liked :p
But just say, I mainly listen to thrash/speed, but I listen to pretty much everything else.

What do you mean by name a better band? What characteristics does the band need to be 'better'? And don't give me **** about "Metallica sold x^10 records" because that really doesn't make them 'better'.
