I just played Super Smash Brothers for an hour. Emulators are awesome.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 12-16-2005 10:26 PM

I had a weird dream.
My class was in a computer room, it was an English thing or something.
I tried to turn my computer on, but it didn't work.
So, a music teacher came in [who has nothing to do with computers] and thought he'd fix it by opening it up.
He did, and instead of computer parts we found:

. A lock
. 2 bottles of some drink
. 2 bags of illegally imported pork snacks

So me and this teacher ate them.
And then someone comes along and says 'you two are douchebags, go **** each other'.

Two of my friends are doing some strange tribal dance in the background.

And then I woke up.

I've had weird dreams lately as well. About a couple of nights ago, I had a dream I was in a gas station buying condoms. Last night, I had a dream that I had a posse of crime fighting hookers, like in Sin City, and we went around and did drug busts and all sorts of other kinds of police work.

Zappa 12-16-2005 10:35 PM

During my nap this evening I got a lapdance from a student teacher we had in my english class.

Zmev 12-16-2005 10:44 PM
"My Friend Goo" might just be one of the most pathetic songs of all time.

HEY GOO WHAT'S NEW?
I like that song.

We had physical fitness yesterday, and now I am sore as helllllz. Especially my arms and quads and a little bit abs. I did 45 sit ups in 60 seconds, thanks to my abs of steel and 6 years of saxaphone playing, but only 29 push-ups because I have no upper-body strength whatsoever and because I am a woman. Ouch.

Daniel! 12-17-2005 12:55 AM

I just walked in on my brother and his girlfriend making out. Awkward.
I see. I don't really like that album myself either.

When it comes to Sonic Youth I'm a Bad Moon Rising/Confusion is Sex kinda guy.
Everything up to Daydream Nation is great.

I wanted to watch some movies today, but my Dad fell asleep watching the cricket. Silly Dad.

What's that totally cool song in the Axe commercial? The one with the asian guy with the motorcycle and the chick on his back.

Radiobass81 12-17-2005 04:22 PM

AMG says it sucks, hmm. I'll still buy it. B-)

lilsolsman 12-17-2005 05:18 PM

I just found out the new Metric album leaked.

This album can make them or break them in my eyes, so i'm excited. I liked their 'poster of a girl' song. Downloading now! Comments later.

Edit; No, wait. It was released long ago. How did i not know about this?

Edit #2; I'm not impressed. :(

Radiobass81 12-17-2005 09:28 PM

This bored has gotten me completely addicted to "The Shins" and "The Smiths". Not sure if it's a good thing :p...

So, umm, how's life?

Daniel! 12-17-2005 09:31 PM

So today my family celbrated my birthday, even though it's actually on the 19th. I got Tom Waits - Rain Dogs, Charles Mingus - Live at Montreux 1975 on DVD, and a djembe. Djembes are one of the coolest sounding hand drums ever.

Radiobass81 12-17-2005 09:33 PM

Nice.

How's the DVD (if you've seen it, yet)?

Hey the Smiths have some nice basslines, I'll have you know. :p I don't think I've ever seen you post in A/I, good stuff.

Best present ever.

Radiobass81 12-17-2005 09:53 PM

I've already learned "Frankly, Mr Shankly", "Cemetry Gates", "Girlfriend in a coma", and parts of "Heaven knows I'm miserable". It's sad, really :p

I used to post here a lot around early 2004, but then I got completely addicted to the Bass Forum. Now... I'm not. :)
Nice.

It's fantastic. For Goodbye Porkpie Hat and another song, they have a guest bari sax player and trumpet come up and play, and both of them are great.

Radiobass81 12-17-2005 09:59 PM

Do they play "Haitian Fight Song"?

God, I love that song.

Daniel! 12-17-2005 10:02 PM

No. But the other song with the two guest players is Take the A Train and it's very awsome.

Radiobass81 12-17-2005 10:05 PM

I'll have to get it sometime. I don't have any Mingus stuff, now that I think about it...

Daniel! 12-17-2005 10:17 PM

It's a quality performance. You should definitely pick it up sometime.

I think "This Charming Man" was the first song I learnt to play by the Smiths, both on guitar and bass. Still love it to this day.

Anxious 12-17-2005 10:35 PM

I have come to the conclusion that Black Flag were the most badass band on the planet.

Daniel! 12-17-2005 10:37 PM

That's pretty accurate.

BillCosby 12-17-2005 11:42 PM

I applied for a job at Tower Records today.

I don't even think they have any openings though... :/

Luxor 12-17-2005 11:54 PM

I went to 5 CD stores looking for Seven Swans for my girlfriend and none of them had it. :(

Music stores are gay.

Glitterati 12-18-2005 01:20 AM
Whats not to love?
Ehhhhh....I think they're overrated. I like the crazy distortion that they sometimes use, but I just can't get into them all hardcore like.

I guess I'm more of an Aquabats type of guy.

Watched American History X tonight. Excellent film.

NINJA EDIT - Happy birthday Daniel!

Zmev 12-18-2005 02:08 AM
Ehhhhh....I think they're overrated.
Yeah if anyone rated them.

Glitterati 12-18-2005 03:32 AM

What the hell? 1:33 and I'm like the only one left in Alt/Indie? Lightweights.

morrissey 12-18-2005 03:32 AM

It's 4:33 and I'm here.
