I only ever downloaded 2 Opeth songs before buying the entire Discography.

Black Rose Immortal and Bleak.

I don't think I ever listened to all of BRI before I bought Morningrise.

I downloaded Benighted and Demon of the fall and decided Opeth was my favorite band in the world. :p

I had both those songs on my comp for ages (BRI and Bleak), I didn't particularly like them :eek:

I thought BRI was unlistenable at first.

So I thought I'd DL Bleak, to give them a second chance. It was only a few weeks later I was lying in bed and I accidently played Bleak.

Yeah that has happened to me with plenty of the bands I currently love.

For instance, Dark Moor.

Although I just mildly like them.

I bought all my albums without downloading them first.

I never really have thought of SW as a great singer, he just fits what he does.

His four part harmonies and arrangements are really amazing though.

I downloaded BWP and The Drapery Falls before ever buying an album from them. Guess which one I got first?

Nah, not really. You're just stupid.

I bought Damnation before I downloaded anything else by the group, or even heard the group, and hated it.

Then I got BRI, and disliked it somewhat. Was kinda boring.

Then I got The Leper Affinity, and was hooked. It just completely raped everything else I had at the time.

I got several songs off of BWP, and loved all of them. Then I got the album. And went from there...

The first song I heard was Demon of the Fall I believe, which to me was a really good introduction, because I was impressed but not at all satisfied, which caused me to go searching out more. Anyway, I got the song Deliverance and was so blown away by it that I bought the albuum of the same name. I was extremely dissapointed.

After sitting on that for awhile and being turned off of the band, I managed to cajole my dad into buying me Blackwater Park and was blown away by it. It goes from there.

I CLAIM THIS THREAD OK MY OPINION IS VALID AND AWESOME THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I got a mash of The moor, Deliverance, Credence (which I thought were together in the same album, silly toejam), Weakness (which I didn't like in the beginning), Bleak and The drapery falls.

I prefer Moonlapse Vertigo's second riff.

That's just a kick in the balls. Such a complete, round riff.

And then the acoustic guitars oh man.

EDIT: Tell me what riff it is. first second third etc.

It's the part where the song slows down, and the lead guitar is playing that awesome riff, then another comes in and harmonizes it, and then one more comes in. Just before it goes to the clean vocals/acoustic arpeggio part.

Actually I'm not too bad here. 8th is probably my highest in the forums.

I've had 3 different accounts so it's hard to get high up the list. :(

I don't know what I've posted the most in. Never concerned me.

I think the best part in TLA is right when Mike comes in with the vocals. Still amazes me every time...

One of my favorite parts right now is the 3rd riff in Karma.
