Yeah, I agree, Fade To Black is probably my favourite, (Well one of them, Orion > Fade To Black imo, but for lyrics, Fade To Black hands down), I think an instrumental version of Fade To Black would rock, but just cause vocals have never really interested me, and I think the lyrical subject of Fade To Black drags the music down, but could it work the other way?
If you just listen to the music, I get a sense of achievement, but when the lyrics kick in, it's like 'Oh snap!'....

I actually know a guy who really liked the drum sound from St. Anger, I can't agree with him, but hey the guy could play Meshuggah's I on guitar, so I wasn't gonna diss his opinion.

Decent songs from Load/Reload do exist in my eyes, but I suppose everyones opinons would vary.

Metallica rocks to much to say about them to say it in one post. all i can say for now is that theyr concert was great... I more like the songs from the first 5 albums(eccept for nothing else matters caus my opion is just that i don't really like the song)

I doubt the new album will be called Overload, I don't think 'Tallica have a name yet. My favourite Re-load song is Prince charming.

Actually, I like that song, it is the only one I like, I guess it doesn't sound as 'country' as the other songs.

I finally realised that i shouldn't hold some of Lars' actions against Metallica as a whole. Lars is well.... he's a bit of a Lars sometimes, but i have been listening to an awful amount of Metallica of late, and i just keep loving them more and more every day.

I'm listening to Fade to Black right now. Hands down the best Metallica song.

My favorite song off of reload is memory remains. I wouldn't exactly say fade to black is their best song, but it is one of the best. Best would probably be sanitarium, blackened, battery, or seek and destroy.

Memory Remains is a top song, i like that song and Where the wild things are.

I guess i would just say Fade to Black is my personal favourite.
I keep liking Metallica more and more, and i have a few favourites now.
I've loved Metallica for years, but i stopped listening to them for about 4 years.

Right now, my favourites are :

Fade to Black, Blackened, One, Dyers Eve, To Live is to Die, Helpless (yes i know it's a Diamond Head song), Motorbreath, Whiplash, For whom the bell tolls, Battery, Seek and Destroy, Metal Militia, Call of Ktulu

Yeah, I grabbed One and Fade To Black (Both are awesome, by the way) but when I tried to get Master of Puppets, it said it was Fade To Black.

I don't think Apocalyptica is anywhere as good as Metallica.

I think they're pretty **** good though, to be able to play Metallica's songs on wind instruments (They are wind?)....

I just don't like the sound of the cellos playing powerchords, it sounds......wrong.

for me its MoP i ove how it has more than 1 meaning it can be for disposable heroes cuz of the crosses and it can be for MoP the song be cause theres those hands with the strings like a puppeteer pulling your strings comanding them even in death or commanding them to do what they did that made them die...( i really like the dot dot dot... :D)
