Nope. I actually found out about them through MX.

NP: Slint - Breadcrumb Trail

Drugstep 06-27-2005 12:26 PM

Unfortunately, I'm not into any underground bands. I'm sticking to my Speed Metal and Classic Rock right now.

Has anyone heard of a band called Of Montreal?

ATM 06-27-2005 12:31 PM

Yes, I have one of their albums.

Drugstep 06-27-2005 12:34 PM

I found three songs for download by them. Should I DL them?

Lord Abortion 06-27-2005 12:34 PM

"where were you when it happened?
where could you be found?
were you at the front of the stage?
or in the underground?"

that song sums up the 80's thrash scene for me

whoever says 'deth's new album is rubbish should be horsewhipped...

magicbus 06-27-2005 12:37 PM

I think I saw Eisley when I went to see Brand New. Were there a few girls in the band?

This is what happens when you use a stereo cable instead of a mono cable :p

I know he may not be on right now, so if Someone would kindly direct him to this post when he comes on I'd appreciate it very much.

That will be all.

Jom 06-27-2005 12:47 PM

Thanks, Ali. Much appreciated.

It's my pleasure :)

And in your respond-to-everything-since-I-Last-Posted-post the first part directed at me was essentially wrong.

Did any one see Batman begins? And was it good?

Taste_My_Scythe 06-27-2005 12:54 PM

I want to see it, but I'm saving up (ha) to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the DAY it comes out. Can't wait.

ATM 06-27-2005 12:55 PM

To Bus: Yea, I know the singer is a girl. I'm not sure about the other members. How were they?

To EvenStillRix: Yea, download them.

Drugstep 06-27-2005 12:57 PM

I might see that when it comes out, but the fact that it's a Tim Burton film is a turn off.

That looks like a good movie. I liked Willie Wonka(spelling?) alot.

Check out my Finnish death metal thread. http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357588
Did any one see Batman begins? And was it good?
Last week. I personally thought it was awesome. It was a great origin story, and did a great job explaining many different parts of Batman's ethos, such as the Batcave, how he got his equipment without anyone noticing, etc.

ATM 06-27-2005 01:01 PM

Batmain Begins was a good flick.

I don't know if I'm going to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Moses 06-27-2005 01:02 PM

Some one said he speaks funny when he's batman.

Illmatic 06-27-2005 01:08 PM

I'm trying to get a friend to go see it with me, but it's not working.

ragingcajun101: Bewitched, The Perfect Man, batman begins, Shark Boy and Bitch Girl, The Honeymooners, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Cinderella Man, Sisterhood of the traveling pants, the longest yard, madagasscar, star wars, monster-in-law
Me: damn, those are cock choices
ragingcajun101: I know
ragingcajun101: They all suck
ragingcajun101: ....
ragingcajun101: Pick one
Me: hold on
Me: Fuck, i guess we have to see batman. Hitchhikers guide isnt in theaters?
ragingcajun101: No

CaptainWaits 06-27-2005 01:24 PM

Holy Sh*T!!

Who here has heard the two ManoWar songs : "Flight of the Bumblebee", and "My Spirit Lives On"??

Now to me, Manowar is a pretty lame, cheesy, sh*tty band, but those two solo tracks are fu*king insane!!

You don't have to see Batman, you get to see Batman. It's an honor.

Drugstep 06-27-2005 01:59 PM

I heard that Flight of the Bumble Bee sucks.

Well, I'm off to Batman Begins. I'll tell what I think later.

Woodstock 06-27-2005 02:18 PM

Batman was good, but nothing more than that.

CaptainWaits 06-27-2005 02:29 PM

I thought it kind of sucked

Great avatar, Animosity. :thumb: for Finland

IheartSP 06-27-2005 02:42 PM

I saw the first half hour of Batman last night, and it kicked booty, but then my friends were going to Land of the Dead, so I saw that. If your an "of the dead" fan, see Land of the Dead, it's 10x better than all the others.

robo2448 06-27-2005 02:45 PM

I haven't seen it but I've heard it's pretty good. Cinderella Man is an amazing movie, a lot like Rocky, but not as good. No sports movie beats Rocky.
